my local build stubbornly insisted on 3.0.0 version building as well, until I manually 'git pulled' the repo...

Now that's normal - the vsftpd recipe is in there.

Probably something went wrong on the buildserver last night, because there were more things missing than just vsftpd (e.g. smbnetfs not in the feed).

Hi,

But this time it is not DMM who is in error, since they provide a working tmpd for their images, using openssl 0.9.8.

It is the OpenPLI team, who decided to abandon the openssl 0.9.8, in favor of the newer openssl 1.0 version, without providing any backwards compatibility.

bad idea bad comparison. Because your old Modell-T only has 105er tires an Bugatti should also use105er tires?

Pli 4 ist brand new and they should stick to old libraries because of that???? This time I agree fully with the team.

ciao

Yeah, something in the repository was blocking it. Fixed it (permanently by forcing a 'git reset --hard' before updating), and new builds are running now.

Latest OpenPLi 4.0 gives problems with both satellite and cable tuners on a DM8000 first build.

Most channels work fine, but some channels simply give signal strength zero. Same channel listing in OpenPLI 3.0 on same box works fine.

I will also test on a later build DM8000 later this week.

Hello,

If someone is trying to use DCC with empty password on OpenPLi 4 you will find out that you can't.

This is not vsFTPd fault, but problem with DCC.

>>220 (vsFTPd 3.0.2)\r\n
    Response code: Service ready for new user (220)
    Response arg: (vsFTPd 3.0.2)
<<USER root\r\n
    Request command: USER
    Request arg: root
>>331 Please specify the password.\r\n
    Response code: User name okay, need password (331)
    Response arg: Please specify the password.
<<CWD /\r\n
    Request command: CWD
    Request arg: /

When using no password, DCC is never responding on 331 command.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FTP_server_return_codes

3xx Positive Intermediate reply

The command has been accepted, but the requested action is being held in abeyance, pending receipt of further information. The user should send another command specifying this information. This reply is used in command sequence groups.

So the solution is either to use password either to contact DCC author and ask for a newer version of DCC that will handle correctly the FTP protocoll.

Hope it helps.

How about the Suntek plugin. Any progress on that?

Hello, the sundtek plugin works fine.

For Windows, download “Sundtek Settopbox Installer” on:   http://sundtek.de/media/ssi.rar  (v.1.3.9-2013.04.20-r1)

Hi PLI Team members,

i have maked today a online update with my pli-4.0 - all is good only the vsftpd problem i had

but this is solved by rename the vsftpd.conf.opkg to vsftp.conf.

but another thing as following;

i use the ppanel plugin to execute my own scripts but the font is very small with fixed 16 it's hardly readable (seeable)

so please change the line 1487 in the skin.xml from this;

<widget name="linelist" font="Fixed;16" position="50,110" size="1180,500" transparent="1" scrollbarMode="showOnDemand" selectionPixmap="PLi-HD/buttons/sel.png" />

to this;

<widget name="linelist" font="Regular;18" position="50,110" size="1180,500" transparent="1" scrollbarMode="showOnDemand" selectionPixmap="PLi-HD/buttons/sel.png" />

then it's ok

regards

The sundtek plugin in the repository is the right one, you need to install it, then go into the plugin and launch the driver install.

Then it will find the Sundtek DVB-x stick.

I have OpenPLi on my DM800se as it was pre installed..  Yesterday I got a Duo2 and I'm trying to install it all myself!

I flashed BH onto it as I didn't realise that this was available!

Tonight I'll remove BH (glitchy and the interface isn't suited to me..) and flash PLi4!

Long live PLi :)

Q about building OpenPli4:

how more effective build image for 3 boxes ?

I am using similar build as on OE3 with script: update - build image - build feeds  in loop for my boxes.

But under OE4 ( may be, due common some parts for all boxes), building image and feeds spend over 70 minuts for little change in enigma2's pythons code?!. It seems, feeds are compiled whole again and for each box (why then are they common ?) and it seems, are  compiled some next parts.

Was done and no success in FTP.
The solution was in the german part of the forum: create the directories vsftpd and chroot in /usr/sahre

If this is the same what some other people are getting, the old configuration file of a preious version of vsftpd is still there. This file contains settings that aren't correct for the new version.

The correct solution is to just re-flash the box, or run:

mv -f /etc/vsftpd.conf-opkg /etc/vsftpd.conf

(please please please send exact error messages, then I can help. Just saying "it doesn't work" leaves me no clue as to what the cause may be).

I have  the same error, see screenshot

Running mv -f /etc/vsftpd.conf-opkg /etc/vsftpd.conf just gives me that mv is not found

root@dm800se:~# mv -f /etc/vsftpd.conf-opkg /etc/vsftpd.conf
-sh: mv: not found
