Greetings,

I have a Airties STB from out IPTV provider after discontinuation of service the box was lying unused. So i opened it and found bcm7413 SOC which is same chip used in VU+ UNO. I downloaded latest OpenPLI for VUUNO and extracted kernel file and tried to boot on STB using CFE console, it booted fine with some errors. I also came to know that default OpenPLI kernel was compiled with default Kernel command line which cannot be overridden from CFE prompt. So i recompiled kernel with Kernel command override disabled and now i am able to use different command options like booting with NFS or USB rootfs. Tried booting it with with NFS root and it booted fine and upon running Enigma2.sh from root shelll i was able to get display on TV using RCA jacks but no HDMI.

can some help me with this issue?

Additional information and bootlog is available on my blog:

Thanks and regards,

wow, that demonstrates how easy it is to clone a vuuno :)

The problem you're running into is that your hardware uses different hdmi gpio's than the vuuno.
This cannot be worked around, because the hardware drivers are closed source.
You're already lucky that so many things appear to be working.

Thanks for your comments.

One thing i want to point out that i can successfully build OpenPLI Kernel for VUUNO but not the complete image, Bitbake complaints about missing kernel source for VU+ UNO. If someone can help me with those, i can continue working on customization.

Since there are no tuners in the box, i would try to add USB DVB-S to this.
