Hello forum:

 

Remeber  flac playback issue ????  This issue was very frustrating , but recently i tried a new aproach!!

 

I Updated my Vu+ Uno last month (FPGA & OS), and retried to play FLAC files:

 

-It still crashes sometimes BUT , i discovered , it happens only with some files, meanwhile other play flawless.

-I isolated the albums that make openpli to crash , and now i have a long playlist that plays Just FINE !!!

 

maybe a workaround would be to reencode the files that cause problems...

Upload one problematic file, so an OpenPLi developer can reproduce the issue and maybe fixit or escalate it to gstreamer bug list.

all my test flac files work here. Sometimes a file starts not. After trying 2-3 times it plays without problems.

Can you send me one of the not working flacs via personal message? (you can only send <10MB)

Then I can take a look why they are not working.

For me there are some file that just wont play....i havent retried thought...

 

My real problem is that  some FLAC files start playing fine BUT make the box to crash after a while... power cycle is needed..!!!

I will isolate a file and send tonight...

I havent been able to isolate a file , the error happens always in diferent file..

Hello!

I recently stumbled upon several different threads when i was searching for issues related to the playback of flac files.
Maybe a solution discussed on http://www.opena.tv/...lprobleme/page7 also works here? It seems as if their image is also based on OpenPLi sources.
