@athoik help me! thanks!

1、I have AX HD51 now, I want to use TBS5520(DVB-S2+C)、TBS QBOXII and DVBWorld USB3101C in HD51.

2、TBS(DW3101) driver installed from feeds Opli and firmware TBS(3101) place into /lib/firmware.(dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5520.fw、dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5920.fw、dvb-usb-tbsqbox-id5928.fw  and dvb-usb-dw3101.fw )
3、After reboot the TBS/DW3101 tuner don't appear in tuner list!

Thank you very much again.

The driver on the feed is not for TBS5520, but for TBS5980 / TBS5925.

Here is a driver for TBS5520: https://github.com/t...b-usb/tbs5520.c

You need to create patches for AX HD51, and compile custom image.

I do not have a TBS5520 neither AX HD51, so hard to test it my self.

Of course you can simply ask TBS to merge their drivers to kernel.org, then newer kernel will have support for TBS without special patches.

@athoik, need some please.

I have a test image from ViX for my Solo 4k, all scanning is working and all FTA channels are clearing however we have a couple of issues.

Immediately after scanning channels are working but after box or E2 restart the multistream channels become unavailable with tune failed.

secondly should there be a lamedb and a lamedb5 as we have both ?

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Sounds like an issue with lamedb. After rebooting the MIS/PLS values are not parsed (or saved prior rebooting).

Upload both lamedb to have a look.

There are no MIS/PLS fields saved in lamedb. So that's the problem.

The problem is MIS/PLS fields missing. Use my changes that read/write MIS/PLS in both formats.

Ask @mirakels more questions about lamedb.

Thanks, I know the problem is the missing MIS/PLS but why aren't they being written and saved, could you point me to those changes.

Hi Jakey, I've started again with this.

Code here:

Thanks Athoik for making this possible and advice.

Just got to build it now and see if it works.

Hey "Dreambox lovers",

Todays experimental SatDreamGr images include TBS5925/TBS5980 support.

Enjoy.

Athoik the problem as I see it is Enigma2 doesn't know when selecting the tuner whether a transport stream is multistream. How could this be dealt with?

It should check if tuner can handle multistream. Sounds like a job for isCompatibleWith.

@Huevos,

When system is S2 and multistream parameters set, but frontend is not multistream, then do not prefer that tuner.

Athoik, can I suggest this commit so people can use plugins that are not multistream aware (like Blindscan).

https://github.com/H...3937d6342b6fc1c

Maybe there is a better way to do it.

I made these 2 commits:

https://github.com/H...802c9484310f5e3

https://github.com/H...6612d50370c0a29

According to the guys testing:

"I have configured an internal tuner to 5w, so both TBS and internal tuner are capable of tuning 5w, but neither will actually tune any channel, MS or normal S2, with tune failed messages and Solo 4k slows to a crawl with spinners everywhere."
