dvb-usb: found a 'RTL2832U DVB-T USB DEVICE' in warm state.
dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
DVB: registering new adapter (RTL2832U DVB-T USB DEVICE)
RTL2832U usb_init_bulk_setting : USB2.0 HIGH SPEED (480Mb/s)
RTL2832U check_tuner_type : ERROR Unknown tuner on board...
dvb-usb: no frontend was attached by 'RTL2832U DVB-T USB DEVICE'
dvb-usb: RTL2832U DVB-T USB DEVICE successfully initialized and connected.
usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_rtl2832u

Volgens dit topic: http://openpli.org/f...b-rtl2832r820t/

The dvb_usb_rtl2832 driver on ET9000 has been updated recently, after I found a new version of the Realtek original driver with support for the r820t tuner.

The solution is to update the rtl2832 patch also for the VU+ kernels.

Zou iemand misschien ook de VU+ kernels kunnen updaten? Of is er meer aan de hand?

Bedankt,

satmus

Hello,

I've just done an "opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-rtl2832" command via Telnet and my two RTL2832 tuners are installed and seems to be ready to use on my VU+DUO2.

hey both appear on the Tuner List and I can setup them.

I do not know yet if there is any signal incomming as my antenna is not plugged yet. I will do better tests this afternoon and post the results.

It can handle DVB-T and also DAB and FM, but I'm not sure it is all supported in Enigma2.

Does your stick have the r820t tuner?

This is the one I bought:  http://www.ebay.com/...=item2579f144b7

Sorry, I did not see this was a thread about an hybrid stick...

Mine are just DVB-T and they are both working perfectly with the RTL2832U package. So I think the problem is related to the other abilities of this tuner... Hope this could help...

Linux driver sources and datasheet from the R820T can be found in this thread:

Could someone educate me a bit who maintains the Vu+ kernel and howto get the new driver code included? Can the exact same driver sources be used from the ET9000?

thanks

satmus: is your stick working by now (openpli4 on vu+duo2)?

I am looking for a DVB-T USB replacement for my physically broken one.

Regards.
