Why you don't have mgcamd when I install openpli 4.0 to one new box ?
Today you only have cccam and oscam to download when I start my box first time after installation. When I download mgcamd it is not working.
(my english is not so good)

Because it is a piece of antique, that hasn't been worked on for years, and is no longer compatible with the current operating system.
As it's only distributed in binary form, not much we can do about it...
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

That is not entirely true!
Mgcamd would most likely be fully compatible with the current operating system, i.e. Linux 3.x kernel etc.
It is not compatible with the latest openssl 1.0 library, which has been a choice of the OpenPli team to use, instead of the older openssl 0.9.[78].
If openssl 0.9.[78] libraries or a compatability layer was included in OpenPli 4.0, then mgcamd and all other third-party plugins which need the older openssl would work.

The old openssl is exactly that, old. And insecure. And will therefore not be part of the image.
It could be that there will be some compat package in the future, but as we're still very busy getting OpenPLi 4 up and running, it doesn't have priority, it's not required to test the functionality of the image.

guys, try WiCard instead, it has the mgcamd features + it can also read smartcards and CI. Works on PLi 4.0.

Use OScam it is open source so it can be compiled like you want... and it is available in the Openpli feed...

I use wicard, but i want to remove mgcamd_1.381...???It stay in e-micro panel

I did it, keys out , now it catalog empty, wicard is function, but in emicropanel DM800se in unistaller affter remove mgcamd_1.38....said remove, but in emicropnel unistaller see it mgcamd , but function or no i don't know???

The reason I want the "old" Mgcamd is that I need it to update my card once a month.
My Canal Digital gets no EMMs with CCcamd.
So once a month I switch to Mgcamd (which does not decode all channels well except v 1.31 that no longer works on Open Pli)
to update my card.
If anyone has a different approach as to how to get EMMs and keep my card alive I would appreciate it.

Siden du har et CD kort så skriver jeg på norsk jeg bruker Older-Scam (3.59) for å oppdatere mitt kort og samtidig får du Svenske Svt1/2/SvtB/24 kunskapskanalen Danske DR1/2 Dansk tv2 fra sirius på 4,8Ø med den softcam

Since you have a Canal Digital card, I write in Norwegian. I use an old Scam (3.59) to update my card while you get Swedish Svt1/2/SvtB/24 & Kunskapskanalen, and Danish DR1 / 2 Danish TV2 from Sirius 4.8 E with the softcam.

I did not think that other (non Nordic) using Scandinavian Canal Digital card could benefit from my information, so I apologize :-) Something else I've noticed that Scam 3.60 does not work on my Vu + Duo with Pli 4.0 I get only Scam 3.59 to decode, this applies conax coded transmissions on Thor 5/6/Intelsat 10-02 (0.8W) and the Swedish and Danish channels on Astra 4A/SES 5 (4.8E)

Would it be possible to retrieve an archived version of OpenPli 3 for Vu+Duo? Say from somewhere around september 2013?
I have not much knowledge of these cams other that that I dont get oscam to work, only CCcamd, but I need MGcamd to update my Cards.
I will have to "roll" back a few months of Open Pli when MGcamd still worked and stay on that version forever I guess..
