By "does not work" I mean that the Mgcamd installer claiming to be Version 1.30 from the feed (the one that could decode all the Canal Digital channels) is actually v. 1.38 which does not decode all the channels correctly. So I no longer have a system that does not require some action from me. Now I have to switch to MGcamd once a month to receive EMMs to update my entitlements and then switch back to CCcamd to watch.

After a certain Upgrade a month ago MGcamd no longer works. I can see in Telnet (Top M) that it is not running.

Now I upgraded to Open Pli 4. Installed Mgcamd. It seems to be running, but I get no decode.

I have tried to install Oscam, but I cannot find a config where to point to the card Reader.

So that is why I either would like to have the Mgcamd 1.30 to work on Open Pli, or at be able to "roll" back to a Open Pli 3 version from around november when mgcamd was still working. OR get another cam to work: Janejak: how do you get oscam to read your card?

Now I tried to reinstall an old OpenPli 3.0 Version from sept 2012.

Hoped to get Mgcamd working again, but no luck. Has there been a non-reversible upgrade in my tuner maybe?

 

I appreciate you guys on the forum trying to help. And as said, I am open to suggestions with other solutions that the old mgcamd... :-))

Find a mgcam binary for the version you want, and then overwrite the one in the box with the one you want.

MGcamd 1.35 works fine to, 1.38 is not working for me also

I was in the same boat as you a month ago:

The problem was that original mgcamd 1.35a (mgcamd v1.35a by mixvt (compiled Jan 26 2010 15:59:20) was replaced by some crap version on 3.0 feeds not just 4.0

The new mgcamd 1.35 did not send EMMs to my card so I had to find a good binary and replace the new one.

MiLo: Do you have any idea why the Mgcamd I have alwas used suddenly stopped working? And even downgrading to an old OpenPli build did not help?

So now I did a new install with the latest build of Open Pli 4, and now at first glans it works fine with MGCAMD. I think that I chose v. 1.30 from the list, but It seems that 1.38c actually installs. But this time it seems that ALL Canal Digital channels on Thor decode well with this version as opposed to before when only the 1.30 version worked well with these channels.

So finally now my cards get the EMMs that CCcamd cant give, and I dont have to switch between CCcamd and MGcamd to watch/update entitlements anymore...

Finally it is like in the old days again...

So you installed the latest build of Pli 4.0 and used Mgcamd 1.30 and it worked flawless?

Any News about this? What Mgcamd to use on latest PLI 4.0? I was so stupid I updated the PLI one week ago, for the first time since last year.. (Autumn..I think). Originally flashed in Jan.2013. Now the channels wont decode. Mgcamd not working it seems. I dont know what Mgcamd I was using.. A friend of mine used to fix this for me earlier, but now I try on my own..

He installed PLi 4.0 but we were not able to load Mgcamd (not sure which Mgcamd)

 

Anyone got a quickfix for this?

No smartcard .. Just a LIST file in VAR/KEYS folder. But I don`t know much about this.. I`m on thin ice here. But as said everything worked fine until I updated the PLI.

I also have found a problem after installing an OpenPli 4 nightly build from this week - and then after when i reinstalled mgcamd - (the one specifically for Open Pli 4 - which i had last used in a version of OpenPli4 from early March 2014 and had worked) - it now wouldnt clear the channel ( me as a client )- so to echo Quattrosis's question - Is there a version of mgcamd that works in a recent nightly build of OpenPli 4 and where does one get it from please ? I want to use a recent Open Pli 4 build but i need to have a working mgcamd solution thanks

i tried mgcamd145 on last openpli 4.0

but does not work. On the oder image it works.

It would be a good if it was also on PLI download mgcamd145a or b.

hi everyone.. pls help me

I use OpenPLI 4.0 on my Vu+ SOLOSE V2

in my Vu+ SOLOSE mgcamd doesnt work (doesnt work mean no chs get open)

when i was using other images (ex: BH etc) mgcamd was working fine with me...

pls tell me how resolve this problem... i have tried all the versions that posted here but no result

I have tried even 1.45b as well...
