Dear all,

 

I am a new joiner in the OpenPLI community and installed happily and succesfully the yesterday's version on a 7020s Dreambox.

 

I can update the package list but I really can't download any package like cccam or any other. I can't get access to the PLI news, etc...

 

Network and DNS all ok and here is what I got when I type the "feed official" link into a browser:

 

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /feeds/openpli/dm7020 on this server.

Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at downloads.pli-images.org Port 80
Can you please indicate me how to proceed, it is now a nice box with nice software but totaly unusable. Do I do something wrong ?  Any test I can do ? I am in IT for more than 20 years but here I am loosing my religion.

Where did you get that error? There is nothing to load in the root of that folder, so the errors on that URL is logical.

 

What exactly did you install on your DM7020?

Hello and thank you so much for your prompt answer.

 

I have installed yesterday build OpenPLi-beta-dm7020-20130908.zip, in the flash.

 

this is what I read in the console: PLi« openpli dm7020

 

Here a uname -a result: Linux dm7020 2.6.9 #1 Wed Aug 17 11:30:37 CEST 2011 ppc unknown

 

everytime I try to download something from the Gui (I can see all the plugins listed), it simply says "donwloading xyz" and nothing happens.

 

Same for PLI news.

 

Update the software is ok as well as a ipkg update on the console.

 

I just try to install a mgcamd and enjoy the variety of the available plugins and components.

 

Anything else I should give to help further ?

all seems to be fine and I can see all the packages "to be downloaded" but I can't download any 8-((

 

A way to try to install manually mgcamd 1.35a for exemple ?

 

I try to capture a screenshot from the office I am now as it swallowed my whole sunday and I can't find the problem.

I have checked the mirror who's IP your ping returned, and in the log of that one, I only find your two attempts to access /feeds/openpli/dm7020 with your browser.

 

Does you box have the same public IP then you, or a different one? If that the case, can you PM it so me so I can check the logs?

Ah, wait a second. This is an Enigma1 box. That will only use the feeds for OpenEmbedded (the OS), not for Enigma and it's plugins.
 
Since we don't maintain E1 anymore, nothing has been changed to that environment in dogs years.
 
It should download http://downloads.pli....35a_pli.tar.gz.
Can you check /var/etc/software.xml, it should point to this URL (with "#RELEASE#" instead of "openpli").

It works fine if i replace the release by openpli and try to download if from a browser. I don't really understand the glitch ? Any idea or something you could reproduce ?

 

Is the 7020 definitely a enigma1 outdated box that you don't maintain anymore as far at the images are concerned, correct ?

I installed the tarball manually and it worked perfectly. Why on earth did it not want to work from the interface...it will be so much easier and workable. I will still appreciate some help on that case please as it seems to be a simple software problem but I have no clue where to look at.

Is there a log somewhere locally to look at ?

FYI, I tried a skin preview as well, same problem...waiting, waiting, waiting...It should be an adress thing if you don't see it in the log but...where ?

I've seen a similar issue, years ago, which has to do with the fact that the setup plugin uses it's own mechanism to download files, but I can't remember exactly what it was or what the solution was.

 

As to Enigma1, yes, a DM7020 is an Enigma1 box. We haven't done any development on E1 anymore in I think 3 years or so. There is no single E1 box produced anymore, the 7020 was the last one, and it has been out of production since years. Everything out there that still runs E1 are clones.

 

The only reason we still have the image online is for people that still have an old box, and need to flash for some reason...

It says that you have no more space to store,,,delete some unnecessary

Have you added many plug -ins since orginal download?

I beleive I have enough space and I didn't install any pluging...just because I can't since the installation 8-)

 

The image is perfect, I can do wget and install manually but, whatever I do with the interface, he put me in the corner.

 

I just would like to know where to check as wanwizard tends to tell me that there is no connection to the ressource server on his side if I use the gui but well if I do it manually.

Wanwizard, do you have any other recommandation then ? Shall I check for other iamges (sad, this one is cool) ? Buy a 500HD ? Sad to put such a nice box in the bin as I have other 500HD in prod, only for an interface or plugin glitch.
