Hello everyone,

I have looked around for a possible answer to my question but i could not find one so this is me hoping for some assistance :)

Regarding IPTV bouquets using Gstreamer for RTMP and HLS streaming is there any way possible to produce EPG data for these services diregtly from satellite or an external EPG database?

For example:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:3D:157D:13D:820000:0:0:0:rtmp%3A//192.168.1.8%3A1935/test/channel1:channel 1

The above should play the RTMP link with EPG data from the satellite feed mentioned in the service reference. It however does not as it is expecting a DVB/TS data stream.

Replacing 1 with 4097, will start playing fine but will not produce any EPG data.

Currently using OpenPLI e2 date version 2013-09-11:

Any insight you might have is appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I think that we can address an issue to Openpli about this.

I create a small test:

this one is the raw test working:

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24
#DESCRIPTION France 24

But of course no EPG.

In this one I create a IPTV stream but reusing the Astra 19.2 identifiers of France 24

#SERVICE 1:0:1:1AF9:3FE:1:C0000:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24 EPG
#DESCRIPTION France 24 EPG

EPG is display but it doesn't work (normal type is 1).

So I create this one:

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1AF9:3FE:1:C0000:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24 EPG
#DESCRIPTION France 24 EPG

EPG is working but no channel is displayed because the Name Space (NS=C0000) is valid to a satellite that i can receive so this confuse E2.

In this one I create a dummy Namespace (not reusing the one of DVB-C or DVB-T), so I use BBBB0000

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1AF9:3FE:1:BBBB0000:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24 EPG
#DESCRIPTION France 24 EPG

I have then the image but not the EPG.

Of course a solution is to create our own EPG .xml file to include the EPG of those fake namespace.

But I think that a smarter approach is to allow this to work:

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1AF9:3FE:1:C0000:0:0:0:rtsp%3a//stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24 EPG
#DESCRIPTION France 24 EPG

We define a no-ts stream type (service 4097) but we can reuse an existing satellite reference since it exist and is already in the STB memory.

I think that if service type is 4907 the namespace should not prevent the channel to be displayed.

Can you have a look at it OpenPli?

i installed a new skin called coolman v5 that completly does not work

i had to go to enigma2 folder and delete the skin folder manually

after hard reboot the pli-hd started to show the names again .

hope it will stay working.

Hi,

I will try to clarify a little bit the problem.

When service type is 4097 all the information in bold:

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1AF9:3FE:1:C0000:0:0:0:rtsp://stream2.france24.yacast.net/france24_live/fr/f24_livefr:France 24 EPG

should be simply ignored to decode the picture, which is not.

So if you can fix the code in order to ignore those information when "decoding" iptv stream this will fix the problem.
We will be able to reuse the satellite details for iptv stream.

There is no reason to check and use the name space in iptv stream (C0000) or a quick and dirty workaround can be to change the namespace to a dummy one for iptv stream (example: BBBB0000)

@vipersvcd

You shouldn't post your problem in a thread which is not in the context of the problem ;)

One hint: v5 of the mentioned skin is very old, you can find the latest one here.

Most problems can be solved simply by a closer look.

Could anyone from PLi team please let us know if the assumptions at least are correct/possible to implement and if there is any consideration to apply this in a feature release ?
Thank you

Hi,

A small up for this problem, if you can make something for this it would be nice?
