The time change (DST) in the weekend op 26-27/10/2013 will create some problems.

It has always been a problem, but since last year I had it under control.  (Although on Sunday a later on the day update has been required).

 

But now my partner in crime has placed me for a surpise.  One of the programs I grab the data with is being written by somebody from the Mediaportal Group (MP). (I write mostly grabber definitions for different websites)  In this group they have also issues with this time change, so some time ago they implemented a change, and the grabber does this now:

 

 

Coming 'Day-Light-Saving-Time' change!
Time-Offset change for all shows after stoptime 20131027010000 +0000
Starting with show : Exploits at local time 27/10/2013 02:00
 

 

This will create problems on enigma2 boxes.  Although the schedule is correct and in the correct timezone in the XMLTV file, 

However in a E2 box upon import all EPG is converted to UTC timecode.  So the correct EPG of the XMLTV is upon import to UTC - with an incorrect timesetting because the time setting is used from the moment of import)  So all EPG is converted to today's timezone.  So all schedule from Sunday on will be incorrect.

 

On the moment of the timechange the E2 box will correct the existing EPG in the box to the new situation.  So the incorrect EPG in your box is shifted again one hour.

 

To make matters worse, If you now reimport this will give you a correct schedule, but mixed with the incorrect one.

 

So on Sunday:

 

1. Delete all your epg in the box.

2. Reimport the epg after 12h00 (as I will need time to check the new situation)

3. Check all your timers, escpecially those set by autotimer.

After discussion with the author, a fix has been implemented so the grab will be as usual.

However there are already 1 or 2 days with a wrong schedule in your boxes.  These will have to be manually erased.

$ init 4

$ rm -f /path/to/your/epg.dat

$ init 3

I can erase it via DCC it can not find $ rm -f /path/to/your/epg.dat.

Can I do it with total commander maybe, and if yes, how to do it?

there is a simple way to erase epg.dat.

download from the feed extension "systemtools" ;)

I did downloaded it, but I can not find it anywhere, when I go to remove plugin is there, but I can't find it, where is it, it's not in plugins only in remove plugins?

lol, It's not very important, but I  delete my EPG.dat but when I try to import : 0 events ! I 'm in French Guyane , I wait Monday !

I’m still getting incorrect EPG for Rytec UK XMLTV.

I’ve tried to erase the EPG with telnet and the commands provided in one of the posts above but the file cannot be found.

I have also tried the systemtools extension to delete the EPG data but the data still remains once the box reboots and the EPG is still wrong or screwed up.

Disney Jnr HD

Art Attack 13:25 – 13:55

The Hive 13:50 – 14:00 (once zapped on the channel this event disappears)

Cars Toons 13:55 – 14:00.

Hello Willy,

 

As I thought I have some problems again with the EPG, I deleted again the EPG data base but I found again some lines in double for Eurosport and Eurosport 2. So I verified on the official website et and there were the same lines. Thus it's OK even if it's curious.

 

However it seems there is a real problem with this channel :

 

MTV FRANCE : 1:0:1:6FEC:42A:1:C00000:0:0:0:

I had to change grab sites for several channels of the french provider:

These all look the same schedule.

 

Can you tell me which one is the correct one?

Or is there still another one?

On the first one (the first line you gave), there are errors. If you look at "Teen wolf", it's 40~50 minutes for a movie and you got one at 1:30 and another at 1:50. Sometimes, there are 2 lines for the same program. Thus, for 1 movie, there are 2 lines, for 2 movies consecutive, there are 4 lines. I don't see theses problems on the 2 others (but I don't know if there are right).
