If you want to use Crossepg and use the XEPGDB and need support, pls. seek support from KRkadoni, the producer of these XEPGDB files.

The rytec XMLTV files can be used in Crossepg, but be aware that there are issues with some channels having epg from two different channels.  This error is inherent to the Crossepg set-up and we have commented on this on several occasions.

You could try to edit the Crossepg configs in \usr\crossepg\providers\ by replacing:

rytec.channels.xml.gz

with

rytec.channels.xml-sat.gz

This will eliminate the cable channels which causes the problems in Crossepg with the Rytec XMLTV files.

Willy

PS: at the moment the Sifteam sources are off-line.  So you could also delete this url's

The files can still be downloaded from this location, but they are outdated.

-On the Krkadoni forum there is no thread for XEPGDB files.

-I never could update epg with XMLTV but XEPGDB has been ok.+ opentv.

-installed XMLTVimport plugin, downloaded tons of data, could not see them
either...besides produced greenscreen,no reboot was possible.

Because Krkadoni does not provide support for his files, we have to?

Not being able to get XMLTV to import seems to me a configuration error.

Look here:  http://openpli.org/f...rcesxml-update/

for a more recent version of the Crosspeg config files for XMLTV files.  And remember my remark on the Sifteam download site.

GSOD by using XMLTV is new to me.  Something tells me that you are not using OpenPli, as on this image I have never seen a GSOD with XMLTVimport.

Hi,

I have removed crossEPG from systemplugins and did reboot but it is still in the system menu. When press OK on it I get the green screen. Does anyone know hot to get rid of it from the menu?

FTP and delete /usr/lib/enigma2/phyton/plugins/system plugins/crossepg
and /usr/lib/enigma2/phyton/plugins/extensions/crossepg
+ crossepg in your cache(hdd or usb)

Hello,

I have to reflash my ET6000,

Up to now, I used to use Cross EPG, it was sufiscent and simple as all in one solution.

Need advice about what plugin to install for proper Rytec EPG working without CrossEPG.

Besides, is CoolTV guide OK?

Thanks

guirigui, if you are using OpenPLi then you should really go for XMLTV Import plugin instead of CrossEPG.

I have installed both plugins XMLTV import + rytec one's..

Every thing works excepted  I've got once GSOB mentioning CrossEPG... I don't remember the circumstance.. but similar behavior before flashing the box after removing CrossePG plugin.

Is it compulsory to install Cross EPG anyway???

I have not found anywhere on my USB HDD any epg file.. the EPG is active though...

There are probably some remains of CrossEPG left in your system.

You should get rid of CrossEPG completely!

Why don't you copy and paste the log here?

If you use XMLTV importer, there is no need to use Crossepg.

Crosspeg is difficult to remove from your system:

The only way is deleting:

/usr/lib/enigma2/phyton/plugins/system plugins/crossepg
and

/usr/lib/enigma2/phyton/plugins/extensions/crossepg
+ crossepg databases (hdd or usb)

As mentoined above.

Remember to restart your box after you removed Crossepg.

Another way of getting rid of Crossepg is reflashing the image.  But make sure Crossepg is not automatically installed via the autobackup files.

There are both in the feeds.

Download them and you'll find the EPG import plugin under the blue button. You can configure it there, and also run an import manually.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
