Hi,

xtreand-alliance uses oe-alliance and this is currently owned by VU+ as you now need to contact VU+ for a password to download their closed source archives to be able to build images for any oe-alliance based xtrend-alliance image.

source of this information? AFAIK this is b*llsh*t. Search for "oealliance git" and you get what you want.

ciao

the source of this information was taken from oe-alliance members posts on the ViX forum, a question was raised by someone on how to build an oe-alliance image for none VU+ boxes, and the reply was to contact VU+ for a password, as they had been given a password and asked not to share it with anyone else. i naturally assumed by this reply that oe-alliance was now under the control of VU+, as without their permission you cant build an oe-alliance image. if i read the post of ViX forum by oe-alliance members wrong and you now dont need to get permission from VU+ to build oe-alliance images for none VU+ boxes then i apologize?

i have searched "oealliance git", but cannot find the password to build an oe-alliance image?

i think you are only making a big confusion.

i suppose the password is the password needed for opera building from the teams that include Vu+ support in their git.

I dont think that xtrend can use the package hbbtv-opera of Vu+ because it is licensed.

So Xtrend git should not not need any password.

Correct Vy+ have licensed opera and so no other team can use it, as for the claims by LraiZer there totally false, Andy has now made a commit to correct this and this is why we asked the OP several times for his build logs to find where the problem was.

Eh ??? Vu+ Have licensed Opera ? What you means ?

I think that Vu+ pay the Opera license.

Everyone else can use Opera. Have only to buy license.

So Xtrend git should not not need any password.

Xtrend provide the Opera webbrowser before it was available on VU+, so I am sure that Xtrend pays for its own licence of Opera.
