To be precise: my young colleague from satforum.me, Subixonfire took some of those and introduced XBMC into Enigma2 by making the first plugin to watch movies, streaming from the net directly into our boxes, egged on by me and some other fellas, who tested for him... 
He made all sorts of plugins of that sort available for us, with E2 STBs, like 1Channel, IceFilms, ITV Player, some porn jollies and so on...
Expat Shield is the proxy SW to give access to UK based TV etc. channels (BBC, ITV etc. iPlayers), which works well in Winblows but not really in Android etc.
