I am trying to get the USB DVB-T tuner running on Pli 3 in my vu+Duo

 

Dmesg for USB gives me

is the problem the no frontend line ?

or is it something I need to do after install of .pkg

that this line suggests

 

Please migrate your /etc/modutils/_vuplus file to /etc/modules-load.d/*.conf

MIssed a few lines from dmesg

 

dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
DVB: registering new adapter (KWorld USB DVB-T TV Stick II (VS-DVB-T 395U))
DVB: Unable to find symbol af9013_attach()
dvb-usb: no frontend was attached by 'KWorld USB DVB-T TV Stick II (VS-DVB-T 395U)'
 

must be the unable to find symbol af9013_attach()

 

how to fix that ?

Please try that and tell us if it worked for you :

opkg update && opkg install enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-af9015
opkg update && opkg install kernel-module-af9013
opkg update && opkg install kernel-module-tda18271
opkg update && opkg install kernel-module-tda18271c2dd

why do you think it is
kernel-module-tda18271

because most of the AF9015
  is
kernel-module-tda18218


it is possible to view usb Tuner
on microchips
and you will know
  Module someone else will take

Ok - that made some improvement

I already had drivers 9015 and kernel 9013

I installed tda18271 (both pkgs)

now I can now see the tuner in list of tuners

But cannot tune any channels

cable is fine tested on TV - scanned great

Terrestrial settings double checked look ok

but no channels found on scan

 

dmesg gives :

well that cleared the error

now get

Quantek QT1010 successfully identified.
instead - but still no channels on scan ....

Can you try that firmware it is newer!

I have now got a channel scanned

locally - they broadcast both 8mhz and 7mhz channels

I have now got the 7mhz channel receiving fine - after changes to terrestrial.xml

still no go on 8mhz channels

In 6 weeks - all channels will go from 8mhz to 7mhz - so I may be right to test again when that happens

@nfnovice, glad you've got 7mhz bandwidth going.

 

I didn't realise there were any 8mhz channels in Australia (I'm assuming that's your location).
