That's a lot

* Update drivers
- 20140715(duo, solo, duo2, solo2, solose)
- 20140716(uno, ultimo)
- Support SoloSE
- Switch to Kernel 3.13.5(solo2, duo2, solose)
- Switch to Kernel 3.9.6(duo, solo, uno, ultimo)
- Fix sound drop in radio channel
- Improve PIP(solo2, duo2, solose, Needs E2 update)
- Allocate more memory to linux(duo2)
- Improve media playback

Hardware: Vu+ Uno 4K SE - Vu+ Duo 4K  - Fuba 78 cm - Tripleblock LNB Quad 19.2/23.5/28.2 - DS918+
Software : OpenPLi - OSCam - Settings van Hans - Autotimer - EPGImport

it seems to be planed but at the moment vbrowser is deleted and Opera still present.

Are you sure? As far as I can see the new browser is now in the plugin directory.

quite sure. "upgraded to 'opera-hbbtv_0.2.bb'" and vbrowser.bb is deleted. It was monday or tuesday.

I know, but at the same time they apologised and introduced a new browser inside the HbbTV plugin folder.

I think this will be done when somebody picks this up, and as it is summer holiday now it could be that 'that certain somebody' enjoys his holiday. ;)
I'm sure this will be done when the time comes.

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.

Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. ;) :)
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.

Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P 
met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

As far as I know they haven't merged them until now. There are problems with drivers when you use the latest gcc.

what are the benefits of those new drivers for everyday use? is it noticeable?

We can tell as soon as they are embedded.....

But anyway: the new kernels are definitely a pro. We have been waiting quite some time for that.

Was wondering the same for the first gen stbs (vuduo, vusolo etc)

Whats the catch ? Slower boxes, more overhead ?

 

You can display h264 streams in one possible way... on the TV screen :)
