Hello, I update my ET today and after restart I got the green screen: "We are really sorry. Your STB encountered a software problem, and needs to be restarted". Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a recursive loop.
How did you trigger it.

Was normal update through the menu of the receiver.

I suggest that it is time to reflash 4.0 or try tomorrow...

My ET4000 gives a note" NO FANCONTROLER DDEVICE IS DEACTIVATED" then i got the green screen with note:

" We are really sorry. Your STB encountered a software problem, and needs to be restarted".<<and the device stay in this LOOP>>

i would like to know how can i re-flash my ET4000, i did try to do it but no luck,

I just updated my ET4000 to the latest stand and didn't experience that error.
My advice would be. Try to flash today's image without restoring an earlier made backup. If that is working as it should, you could try to restore the previous backup. If the error occurs again the cause might be in your configuration.

Dear Rick,

i don't have than knowledege to know which skin i have.

first my ET 4000 crashed and start again every time i tried to open something in the YOUTUBE on internet, i did changed in the configration and trid to intall some plug-in software and i update the software before i restart it, but he never start again and he staing in the loop of re-starting.i use the internat to update the software

Some logging would be appreciated I guess.
But as you do not know what skin you have I'm afraid logging won't work. No offense.

Are you sure you have seen this screen as you earlier wrote your box gives a green screen and goes into a loop. In that case you won't be able to get into the menu so you can't see the posted screenshot.
Or you mean the skin that you use. That's the default skin the Pli-hd skin.

My advice, as I do not experience the issue. Flash today's image.

if my ET4000 can not re-started agian, how can i downlaod the error logfile so that i can attached it to you Guys.

and he do not have any number!!!

download image( http://downloads.pli...0140220_usb.zip) to your pc.

unzip the image directly to a fat32 formatted usb stick.

for the correct flash procedure someone else hase to help you because this slightly differs from brand to brand and i don´t have a ET.
