How to flash from an USB stick
  1. Format your USB stick with a FAT32 file system
  2. Download the USB image of your choice (this is an image specific for USB flashing, you can not use the standard .nfi file)
  3. Extract the USB image (Zip-file) with full path to the root of the USB stick
  4. Switch your receiver off (power-off, not stand-by)
  5. Insert the prepared USB stick into the front of the receiver and switch the power on
  6. During powerup push the ring around the power button to the right or up ( green and yellow led should light up)
  7. Wait untill the receiver reboots by itself.
  8. Follow the installation instructions on the screen

aha, my mistake, so that setting is only available for vu.

grtz Philip

No, it is only available for the new ET10000, now it it is possible to reduce the fan-noise by decreasing the fanspeed.

@Zyiad

As we are talking about a 4000, the procedure is almost thesame, but one thing different. After power up with the stick placed in the box, you should push the small button in the left upper corner behind the cover. Then flashing will succeed.

If I had all the knowledge I had no questions at all.

indeed, you have to put the complete folder et4x00 on  the usb, not just the 4 documents. ;)

if you check de usb there hase to be a folder(et4x00) on it with in that folder the 4 documents.
