Good day:

i report a bug for last week image.

-For MP3 files playlist works fine (one file will automaticaly play after another) .

-For Flac files files play fine , but after one file has ended , next one wont start automaticaly.

This happens in Both media players.

Just Ask if more info is needed..

Cheers

Same story here.  Normally i play Flac and it stops at after completing a track.  Tested it with a mp3 and it goes to the next track. :)

As far as i can see i do not have extra players installed, unless webmedia has something to do with it.

with a vu+?
In that case, flac works with the alsa device, so no EOF detection.

We found an issue with pes pcm playback in the vu drivers, so we reverted to using the alsa device, a while back.

Hi cml,

Pieterg thinks that it is a driver problem. And OpenPli cannot fix driver issues, because the code is not public.

@pieterg: I don't know how it should behave. But on my ET9200 I have a similar problem, but also with mp3s. I playback mp3s. One file has finished. Sometimes it switches to next mp3 file, sometimes not. Same for flacs. But I think in case of flacs switch happens more rarely.

I think i get it now:

what can explain this:  the bug fix we found last time* has not been applied to the main trunk.

what do you think ?

I think that particular workaround has caused your EOF problem. (didn't realise you were the topic starter in that particular thread as well)
Or didn't we commit that workaround yet?

@pieterg: I think you didn't commit that workaround.

But I see here (without the workaround) a similar behaviour and also for mp3s...

If I didn't commit the workaround, that cannot have caused it.
Or are you using the binary libgstdvbaudio.so which betacentauri built for you?
In that case, same story, playback will be done through the alsa device. So probably no EOF detection.
