Hello,
I have a port problem with the stream via a chain, but the port is correct via the stream to a favorites list.

This appears to be a problem with VLC. You might want to change the subject to reflect that.

Download the .m3u file instead of opening it with VLC and post the content here.
Sounds like the port is defined in the .m3u on 8101 while it should be on 8001
Perhaps try to change the streaming port in the configuration and then set it back to its default value 8001.

Sounds to me like a bug in the stream.m3u generator (since services.m3u is correct), but I am not at home to try to reproduce it.

I've already had this bug and fixed it.
http://forums.openpl...quet-streaming/
Didn't sent a pull request yet as I want to tie it to the setting "Add service name to stream information".
I will do it soon. You can use this tmp fix in the meantime.
services.py
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/controllers/models
servicesm3u.tmpl
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/controllers/views/web
reboot.

Hi,
I've got exactly the same problem.
I used the fix using the two attached files, but the problem remains the same.
I'm using the lates VLC version 2.2.2.
The generated stream.m3u fie is the following for example:
#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:-1,Rai 1 HD
#EXTVLCOPT:program=3401
http://<My decoder IP>:8001/1:0:19:D49:1450:13E:820000:0:0:0:
Is 8001 the right port???

Sorry, this thread is quite old, but I've got exacly the same problem and I found the recent post (Posted 2 February 2016 - 11:50).
I hoped that the two fix files could properly work for me, but I'm unfortunately not able to open my generated .m3u file on my pc
I tried with different software than VLC too, but its didn't work.

The generated m3u looks fine, and opens here without problems.
And yes, the default streaming port is 8001.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I'm becoming crazy about this problem
I tried to open the m3u file with VLC and KMPLayer on my pc, but nothing appears.....
If the file looks fine and the problem is not in the software and in the Openpli image....I don't know where I could investigate.
I tried to install Windows 7 again resetting my pc, but the problem remains the same!

What happens if you try to open the URL (the one in the m3u file) in your browser?
Windows firewall that is blocking the connection? Did you configure an alternative streaming poort?

I tried to open the URL in my browser (either Explorer or Firefox) and it remains in status "waiting for <decoder ip>8001/..... connection"
I disabled Windows Firewall and I successfully test a connection to 8001 port from my pc to my decoder using telnet command.
I didn't configure an alternative streaming port, could you help me if it could be useful in order to solve my problem?

If telnet works, then a browser connection should also work. Unless something else then enigma is configured to listen on 8001.
What box are we talking about, which OpenPLi version, and when was the last update?
You can also try logging into your box, and then on the commandline run:
netstat -lnp | grep 8001
output should be something like
tcp6 0 0 :::8001 :::* LISTEN 513/enigma2
