today i upgraded openpli 4 16.12.2013 ( with new drivers) and movies(xvid ,divx) are working now.  but wmv, wma, asf still dont work.  is this only on my solo2 or anyone else cant play them

Hi,

new drivers are not enough to play WMV/WMA/ASF. Gstreamer must also be changed. With the OI I can play WMV with my DUO2 but I hear no WMA sound which is included in the video. It is a start but there is still work for VU+ to do.

Are you sure its GStreamer? I think BH uses Dreambox dvbmediasink with some patches.

And guess what OpenPLi uses the same as Et for Vu.

So if we need different ioctl for wma/wmv than Et, we need to patch OpenPLi dvbmediasink or use the same as BH.

Maybe enable more options (just like oe-alliance did)?

-DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-pcm"
+DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-wmv --with-wma --with-pcm --with-eac3"

Hi,

you can take a look for yourself at code.vuplus.com. 12 days ago they changed something but I think it is only connected to streaming.
