I have a VU+ solo² receiver.

Today, I tried to flash it with the latest OpenPLI 4.0 20131213 version; update works perfect after FIRST bootup: all my settings, plugins are visible and TV channels can be watched.

The second time I restart (after selecting 'enigma restart' or power toggle), the receiver is stuck at "starting.." / hanging in bootup phase. Not possible to overcome it.



If I flash with a different image, everything works again.

Tried to install an older version of OpenPLI 4.0 20131211 version, still the same issue.

Any ideas?

Dvb usb stick inserted? If you remove it will the box boot then?

Remove/rename all backup files and try to flash again.

I've succeeded in removing the OpenPLI backup files using a different image. Using Filezilla, I deleted the backup files.

 

The difference now is that OpenPLI shows me the configuration wizard at bootup.
After I've manually downloaded some plugins, configured settings,... everything is setup like before.

I restart the receiver and still the same issue   Receiver stuck at 'starting...'

I have excact same boot up problem if I select norwegian bokmal langugage. If I choose another language, everything is ok. I hope some programmers can take a look in LC_TIME definitions in fakelocale package to this language and maybe correct this issue.

I have the precise same problem on my DM800se.

Sinse the 2.1 no longer supports download of plugins I decided to flash with latest 4.0 build.

After flash everything worked fine but with first boot its stuck in the boot phase (boot picure) and will not come on line. The progress bar in the display just starts over and over again from the half point.

I have tried several different version of the latest builds but they are all the same.

No problem flashing and booting on other images (non Pli) or the 2.1

 

Tried to search in the forum for a solution but cant seem to find one.

 

Anybody who can give some guidance, please?

I have the same problem. Also used Norwegian Bokmål language. I gave up, but now that I see that it might be a problem with the language pack, I might give it a try with a different language.

Try to install only norwegian language. Do not use norwegian bokmål for now, because it is not yet added any norwegian bokmål file inside openpli.The file is ready to be added, but need someone to commit it from the translation section in this forum.

Ok. I now reinstalled the 4.0 image and used Norwegian only, and it worked perfect. To bad a missing language file renders the image useless and forces one to reinstall.
