Hello,

I recently bought a Vu+ Duo2 (which is great!) to use with my cable provider (Voo - Belgium).

I have a problem with epgimport, I use the Rytec Benelux list but I always have a result of "0 events" and still have only 2 days of epg instead of 7 for all channels.
In the log file, I see a lot of "Unknown Channel" lines.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I've put my log file in attachment.

Thanks!

The problem is (I suspect) in your first sentence, you're using VOO via Cable.

The EPG is imported by mapping a channel name to a service reference. I'm pretty sure the VOO service references are not in the mapping file, problem with cable is that they might differ based on the cable region you're in.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Oh I see, thanks for the quick reply.

Is there something I can do to solve it then?

Maybe with a custom channels file?

But how can I know where to get the correct service references?

I'll pass that on to the Rytec team. ;)

As to service references, there are lots of ways: I personally always use the web interface of the box. Use your browser to go to http://<ip-of-your-box>, click on "television" in the menu, then on the "Current' tab. The service reference is the last line in the Service table.

Thanks, hopefully they will have a solution :)

I just had this receiver for 2 days, so I had no idea about this web interface.

This is just great, thanks for that :)

First of all you are using a very old rytec.sources.xml file

I can see that from your import log. It still uses this url:

Pls. Update this with one found here: rytec.sources.zip

http://openpli.org/f...rcesxml-update/

Secondly: We have a VOO section in our database (rytec.channels.xml) file but it has not been updated very a while. Because nobody asked me. And since I do not have VOO I cannot check it.

So first update the rytec.sources file. And try a new import.

Hopefully at least some channels will be filled with epg.

If not pls give me a few service references and channel names so I can check if they are correct. Or something has drastically changed. (in which case I will ask you to do the next step anyway)

Even better if you can do this: http://openpli.org/f...g-for-channels/

Thanks Willy,

I'll try that this evening when I get home from work and post my results.

If necessary, I'll do a request for channels then.

Thanks a lot!

Sébastien

Alright, I created the files for the channel request, hopefully nothing is missing.

Here's the compressed file in attachment.

If something is missing, please tell me how to get it, I checked DreamBoxEdit's options and features, and I think I got everything but I'm not sure.

Thanks again for the help!

I see why you do not have epg imported

In the channels file the following is defined:

1:0:1:296B:6A:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:4E89:C9:1:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

In your box these channels are:

1:0:1:296B:6A:1:FFFF0152:0:0:0:

1:0:19:4E89:C9:1:FFFF019A:0:0:0:

These are different. So I will need to correct the channels file with these references.

This are 158 channels, which I have to correct manually. I hope to get it finished today.

Indeed, I noticed while doing this that they seemed different.

Thanks a lot for your work, and if there are too many channels, I can remove some to make a smaller list.

I only got the box for a few days, so I haven't really created personal bouquets yet, I have to check which ones I'll use mostly.

The file will be on-line in 10 minutes time. pls restart enigma on your box in order to force a reload of the channels file. (this file is only reloaded once a day)

You have to select the Benelux source and the French source for certain. You may have to select also he Greman and the italian source if you want epg for the few italian and german channels.

Willy

PS: Tell me if channels do not have epg. (this is a major edit nd typo's are always possible

Woah, thanks for the quick update.

I'm at work now, but I set port forwarding for the box so I can access the web interface from here, I'll see if I can test all that from here.

Else, I'll try that this evening when I get back home.

I'll keep you posted.

Ok, I used the remote from the web interface to try it after rebooting, and it still shows 0 events for some reason.

I still have a lot of unknown channels too.

I managed to get the log file by mounting the box's config directory to my NAS, so I'll attach it as well (there are 2 logs, one when I included UK, and the second one with just Benelux and France - since the log is limited, I wanted to make sure channels I have are also "unknown").

Thanks,

Sébastien

Just wanted to confirm that after the automatic update of this morning, the result is still the same : 0 events, and still a lot of unknown channels in the log file.

The unknown channels are normal in your case. You are missing a lot of sat channels.

But the 0 events is not normal.

Could you pls. send me your rytec.sources.xml file pls.

And cl;ear the epgimport.log file before you do a manual import with only the french package: Rytec France XMLTV

(this has the most channels correct)

Request the epgimport.log and also send this to me pls.

Hmm this is strange, but as I was doing what you asked to get the log, I now get events, and it seems the EPG is indeed 7 days !

I don't understand why this is working now but wasn't this morning since I didn't change anything since then, but the most important thing is that it's working (for Benelux as well) :)

Thanks a lot for your help!

Sébastien

Set your import after 7h00.

Because the files are updated between 6h00 and 7h00.

Ah thanks, the import was currently set at 7:00, but I'll set it at 8:00 to make sure.
