Hi -meanwhile I got tvheadend running on wheezy and I am able to stream to my laptop, which has vlc and firefox running which  seems to be the golden combination ...

At this stage I wonder if a plugin can be made (IS) available either for tvheadend or for enigma2, so enigma2 stbs will be supported meaning the stb acts as a client and can read EPG/stream from tvheadend server. As enigma2-enigma2 is known to work (partnerbox, or converting "streams" using remotechannel plugin) and streams are set up like this " http://192.168.10.11...:FFFF0000:0:0:0 ". Yet checking my browser tvheadend seems to stream either m3u" http://192.168.10.21...t/channelid//15 " or Direct URL and its format it " http://192.168.10.21...m/channelid//15 "

Full enigma2-enigma2 example ( seen in dreamboxedit ) is in this case

Stream Type: DVB/TS
Name: NL 1HD
URL: http://192.168.10.11...:FFFF0000:0:0:0
Service Type: 25
Service ID: 201
Transponder ID: 27
Network ID: 500
Namespace: -65536

Is there already a way to stream from tvheadend to enigma2 including EPG or is this something that can be developed and added to RemoteChannelStreamConvert for example?

Little step further reading tvheadend and its HTSP port, could that be the way forward to get things working just like xbmc ( refer to chapter 4: connecting xbmc to Tvheadend )?

OK so that means basically after hearing two OpenPLi teammembers this most likely will not have a chance meaning having active support in getting such client plugin developed in PLi images or am I to quick drawing conclusons this early morning? it is nearing Xmas after all and also my good friend Mr Bond performed in one of these episodes called never say never again once ... ... Anyway seriouse question here and I seriously volunteer in testing :) ...

It cannot/should not be implemented in a plugin, a 'servicehtsp' has to be written.
Personally though, I don't see an advantage using tvheadend, tried it once, but I prefer e2 as a http stream server.

And you can run enigma2 in your Debian wheezy box as well - not as easy as doing apt-get enigma2, but it can be done.

malakudi - indeed that would be great - if it takes effort, no problem I can do ( some of ) the maths and look even forward to it.

Currently my system has vlc-nox to transcode to my mobile and that feature I miss deerly on my current dm8000.

Therefore I like to build one server that can replace my dm8000 so it streams to my enigma2 boxes and transcodes to my mobile.

Hopefully that can be done ...

Could find some time to check the pinned section here which holds tons of data building Openpli Enigma2 on Ubuntu 32bits ...

Yet I hope this is a starting point to get things rolling on a 64-bits wheezy system, I would be very happy if this combination will work so my dm8000 can be used elsewhere ...

I think that having the chance to connect to tvheadend from enigma2 would be cool. tvheadend is designed to be a DVR server and I think that having a channel list pointing to it would be cool.

What is the status on OpenPli 6 ? Is there any chance to connect to a channel through the HTSP plugin ? Is it possible to load an m3u channel list coming from tvheadend ?

Any day now. No clue what HTSP is. No.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
