Yesterday i try to install Openpli4 on my dm800se but had problems with my usb dvb-t Avermedia A867. After installation i try to install A867 with this telnet command "opkg install kernel-module-dvb-usb-a867": Openpli4 download and install a867 ipk packages with success but when i restart the image Openpli4 hangs with the blue led of receiver flashes (upon restart the led of Avermedia a867 flashed several times)...

 

I have reinstalled several times Openpli4 (latest build 20131218) repeating the same steps but Always hangs on reboot after installed a867 kernel modules. is there a solution ? With other images, there are no problems.

I have the very same problem with the latest builds, after installing a867 kernel the receiver keep to restart itself. If i remove the usb turner the boot procedure ends normally.

Before that i had an october build version with no problem whatsoever so i think something has changed in the builds after then

From another forum i see this procedure:

 

- Install latest build without usb key

- From plugin, drivers, install "dvb-usb-af9035"

- Restart enigma

- Remove from /lib/firmware the file "dvb-usb-af9035-01.fw"

- Upload in /lib/firmware the file "dvb-usb-af9035-02.fw" (get over internet, size 41kb) and set permissions

- Restart enigma

- Connect now the a867 usb key (blue led on)

- Restart enigma

- Now the dvb-t tuner show up

 

Someone have tested ?

Hello everyone, I have a version with open pli 3.6 kernel but when the plugin / driver af9035 exhaust, install the kernel 3.12 and it does not work. How do I solve the problem?

Just to add one comment:

 

I have several times under different kernel tried to install the 867... with firmware and the rest..

 

The result is that works but the driver occuppies  so much CPU resources that it is not possible to make it work along with the internal DVB-S tuner...

 

May be there are some other  afatech based devices, but I definitly would not recommand this USB DVB-T device for multituners linux system or Windows PC...
