i bought a tp link usb wifi dongle tl-wn723n v3 and my dm800 hd doesn't know it the vid and pid of this usb wifi dongle is

what driver i can use to can use it with my dreambox 800 and how to install it

when i put it with other image and i make this commande

 

cat /proc/bus/usb/devices but it doesn't work with openpli image (openpli-3-0-beta-dm800)

You seem to have a Realtek rtl8188eu chipset in your wifi stick, this page:

gives some more info on how others been able to use a module (driver) from Realtek, though not in combination with OpenPLi.

 

 

But according to this page

a driver for rtl8188eu was added in linux kernel 3.12, my Vu+Duo has kernel 3.1.1 (OpenPLi 3.0 still) so

I'm not sure the issue can be easily resolved.

 

 

Anyone (else) that can compile a module for this stick?

 

 

BTW, can you also show us the output of 'lsmod'  and 'uname -a' ?

What I can see is that there is no kernel module (rtl8188eu) loaded for the usb stick.

I think your kernel (2.6.18) is too old for the usb stick to work, perhaps someone else here can give some additional input?

 

Module 8712u is a module for some Realtek devices, but I could not find a list for which ones.

Won't work, the kernel for the dm800 is too old, and DMM no longer supports it.
