Hey guys,

I am flashing a Dreambox with Openpli for the first time. It is a DM500HD.

My problem is that when I try to flash it through the webinterface I get an error.

I have tried holding the button on the dreambox while turning it on. It starts blinking green, after 10 secs or so it stops blinking altogether. The thing is, that doesn't flash it for some reason. The outdated Openpli image still boots up after turning it on.(I took over from the last guy  who failed to flash it so Openpli was already on it)

What is going on here? :S how can I flash the SSL without the webinterface? I am able to access it using filezilla. I don't know how to access the root with the remote through the openpli interface.

Just

I hope you can help me.

Are you sure it didn't flash?

To me it seems like you need to activate the web server in OpenPLi settings (Plugins>OpenWebIf, first line should be enabled).

Which OpenPLi version are you trying to flash?

It is already on.

Version is:

Kernel Version:3.2

Enigma: 2013-11-10

NB: Before anyone comments on doubleposting, I'm sorry. I wrote it all twice as I thought the first thread was lost, I'm on a crappy computer atm.

I've never flashed a 500HD, have you seen this page? : http://openpli.org/wiki/DM800install

I haven't seen it no, but that is the exact procedure you use for a DM500HD(described in first post). Only difference is that the DM500HD doesn't have a display.

I still need help with this. How do I flash the dreambox with a new SSL without using the webinterface?

You need a serial cable, a so called null modem cable, and the DreamUp software.

That is the safest way.

Are you sure you are trying to load the right file for your receiver?

I didn't express myself clearly. Of course it doesn't flash until I use the bootloader, the problem is that the bootloader didn't appear after holding the button down while powering up.
