Hi

I have had some issues on my Vu+Duo since upgrading to OpenPLi 4.0 on 2013-12-28.

I have updated through software update once since the upgrade (yesterday Jan 4 I think it was).

- Network stopped working yesterday Jan 4 23:44:29, I had to restart network from Settings.

- Media Player crashed Enigma today when I stopped (pressed Stop button) after watching a recording.

I have also had a number of issues probably relating to MGCamd, it seems to eat CPU after some time (some hours) and more or less locking up the receiver. I use CCcam instead now.

Log file showing the network issue attached, file name net_stopped.log

Jan  4 23:44:29 vuduo user.err kernel: Loading kernel module for a network device with CAP_SYS_MODULE (deprecated).  Use CAP_NET_ADMIN and alias netdev- instead
Jan  4 23:44:29 vuduo daemon.info avahi-daemon[370]: Withdrawing address record for 192.168.1.6 on eth0.
Jan  4 23:44:29 vuduo daemon.info avahi-daemon[370]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface eth0.IPv4 with address 192.168.1.6.

Hello.

I have since yesterday a similar error on my Duo2, although the last change is already back a few weeks. The first time, at 19:30 clock the pirture from recording is frozen. I could only use the power switch at the back. At 01:30 clock at night I looked also a recording of the internal hard disk. Suddenly appeared top left "Loading" and no longer disappeared. This time I was able to telnet to reboot the box, which did not work at 19:30 clock.

My Log:

My problem was caused by a module called zram, newer builds exclude this module per default, so the issue I had disappeared.

I'm not so sure you have the same problem though, check in a terminal (telnet) window if you have module zram loaded or installed.

lsmod shows you loaded modules

opkg list-installed|grep zram will show you if zram is installed.

- Media Player crashed Enigma today when I stopped (pressed Stop button) after watching a recording.

I don't know if it's for the same reason but I had a similar problem, I push the "Stop" key in MoviePlayer and the box crashed, there were no light, nothing. I told about that here :
