MetropolisHD by Franc skin ver 1.0.

Fully tested on STi 7111/7162 OpenAR-P/PBNIGMA - both OE 2.0, python 2.7.
It ought to work on all SH4 Enigmas and some mips Enigmas (Gigablue - TeamRED, DM 800HD SE etc. - Open-Pli 3+).

Download: https://skydrive.liv...AAxNh7SGBdoqdVA

Installation via telnet:
opkg install /tmp/*.ipk --force-overwrite

Manual installation:
Usual procedure, the IPK version is above but here is the info anyway:
1. In /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/ and /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Renderer/ - I recommend you overwrite the existing files
2. In /usr/share/fonts (in some Enigmas /usr/local/share/fonts/) copy all fonts - overwrite, as above.
3. File MetropolisHD copy to folder /usr/share/enigma2 (in some Enigmas folder /usr/local/share/enigma2)

In case of trouble, return to the default skin by going into E2 via FTP and in folder /etc/enigma2/ find the file settings, where one changes the default skin in the following line: config.skin.primary_skin=MetropolisHD/skin.xml. Instead of "MetropolisHD" put the name of the default skin. Or simply delete the whole MetropolisHD folder.

SNRdB vs. SNR:
By default in infobar one gets the signal strength in dB, while the secondinfobar it's in %, if E2 supports it. If one gets "N/A" in infobar (or similar nonsense) one should alter the values in the main Menu: - Menu --> Setup --> System --> User Interface --> Show SNR percentage instead of dB value = Yes

Picons: With MetropolisHD I recommend 'black picons', never transparent or oled.

Enjoy!

A note: Some plugins/extensions can slow down Enigma2, as well as a skin...

P.S. For "AntiMariozo" version of the skin: replace skin.xml with skin-antimariozo.xml (see the first two images below, to see the difference).

Very nicely done, indeed.

If someone can confirm it works on OpenPLi 3 and 4, and have a working .ipk, we can add it to the feeds?

Tested on some OpenPLI 3 based images (like OpenAR-P, PBnigma, TeamRed), also tested on OpenPLI 4 (Dreambox 500/800 HD...).

I tested it on Alien2/STi 7162, which is SH4, based in OpenPLi 3 (PBNIGMA Beta for it).

Some on GB Quad with TeamRED E2.

Excellent for smaller TVs!

Etc.

Hello veskop.

Indeed, the font does not support Cyrillic characters, but you can easily change that.
You can find a font that supports Cyrillic characters, change font name to "MET_FontinSansSmallCaps.ttf" and copy to /usr/share/fonts/, overwrite the existing font.
If is necessary restart enigma2.
This method will replace every string that calls "MET_FontinSansSmallCaps.ttf". Maybe this is best solution for you.

This method is just for infobar and second infobar:
You can open skin.xml in Notepad++, find this line, there is on two places (for infobar and second infobar):
<widget source="session.CurrentService" render="Label" position="253,480" size="781,44" font="Replacement; 40" backgroundColor="transpGrey" transparent="1" halign="center" foregroundColor="un21e2e2e2" zPosition="1">
Replace font name to Regular
Example:
<widget source="session.CurrentService" render="Label" position="253,480" size="781,44" font="Regular; 40" backgroundColor="transpGrey" transparent="1" halign="center" foregroundColor="un21e2e2e2" zPosition="1">
Save skin.xml
Upload back to STB
Restart Enigma2

Done

Btw.

In the next version i'll implement support for Cyrillic characters.

Cheers,

Franc

Very nice skin,but ...

- Its too transparent,if watch programs with subtitle,it a little bit "mess" on infobar.

- Bars are little big

- a lot of colours

IMHO will be beter something like this:

The skin is great! Works perfectly on ET9500 with PLI4.0.

However, I also think that the lower bar and especially the HD, 16:9 ... buttons should be smaller.

All that depends on one's TV, how far you are from it, your eyesight, preferences etc.

De gustibus...
