Hi!

First, let me add a few references to the earlier topics, where described the nature of the problem:

rimas made that topic on PLI forum "National characters in subtitles" :
http://openpli.org/f...s-in-subtitles/

My topic on Dreambox-Tools:
http://www.dreambox-...ad8561e561a8cca

Also on DMM forum:
http://www.dream-mul...=16356&pageNo=3

Affected channels at Astra 4A (4.8°E)
TV1000 Premium
Viasat Explorer
Viasat History
Viasat Nature East
Viasat Nature/History HD

AND at Thor 5 (0.8°W)
Star

We're pretty close to the solution, but we need help. Our user err23 made changes to the file teletext.cpp - this is a file used to compile the software.
The only changes are:
 Swedish-> Estonian
 Italian-> Latvian / Lithuanian
In result with our language subtitles are now OK but other countries may suffer.

May we discuss how to solve this issue with You further?

Who made that nice submenu to PLI software:
System->Subtitles settings
?

Perhaps there could be an opportunity to add configuration option?
1) Automatic = font is selected automatically according to operator data stream is designated. At the moment is that the only choice.
1) Subtitle font choice = can choose the font manually by the subtitle language, for example Estonian, Sweden etc.
2) List of fonts
To the configuration should be able to access by the shortcut from subtitles menu.

I will also add the difference in teletext.cpp file which works great for our language on these channels. The laurels fall to our user err23

This is development propose to PLI team, what do you think? You would probably be easier to do this thing as programming skills are more clear for you.

I wanted to make a one post, sorry :)

@littlesat: According to post 2 I guess they have replaced the languages.

@zeros: Can you look here, I don't know all the languages:

 http://www.etsi.org/..._300706e01p.pdf

Page 115: The swedish/finish row in the table 36, is it really swedish/finish? Or is it estonian?

I guess the broadcaster sends wrong teletext data. If this is the case, don't fix the problem in the code. Contact the broadcaster...

Hi!
I'm bothered with various service providers with various problems, and it is a matter of what they do not improve to 100% because of those Viasat boxes're all is working!
I'll add a link to a friend err23 Dropbox, there are various models he built for the purpose of testing and improving software
https://www.dropbox....sh9k/XJ081rencw
If you do not have probably the service subscription then as for info the text is unencrypted and you can test nonetheless. Latvia user already tested and we got positive feedback. I think it is also the Lithuanian language in those channels ecxellent now.

The problem is, that when OpenPli commits these changes, italian and swedish/finish users will get wrong teletext characters.

The only way would be to add a switch or something to change the language. And I guess that's what you want. Right?

I tested the zeros changes and can confirm that the Latvian subtitles after these changes displayed correctly.
I am also worried about the italian and Swedish/Finish users.
But maybe any of them can tell, are their subtitles currently have without problems.
If already for Latvian and Estonian subtitles is in the wrong position, maybe for others also? Maybe we need for something switch the location?

How to use config options, you can a look, for example, in subtitle.cpp.
But how do you think did it?
Leave one option automatically, as is currently, and then choose one of the language in which all in the NationalOptionSubsets [13 * 14] been replaced with the selected language codes?

Are there any other known country than Estonia / Latvia / Lithuania, who are not satisfied with his teletext subtitles?
Solution is probably a number of ways but what would be the best way, so I put my hopes to hear from here.
Way to compile our own software as it done at the moment is not good because after the software update enigma2 overwrites the work. Thus, we would expect a good solution. We try to think about how to do this in the best way. Any help is welcome!

Hi!
News in Dropbox:
https://www.dropbox....sh9k/XJ081rencw
In Dropbox is a working solution with instructions on how it works.

experim2_img_est_lav_lit
subtitle_patch

A configuration file is created during the first loading of subtitles (enable subtitles on some channel).
The configuration file is named teletext_overwrite.conf and is located in /etc.
The file consists of one line "NationalSubset %d", where %d denotes an integer value.
The default value is -1.

Parameters can be in the range -1...12 (not checked, do not enter other values)
-1 Automatic, national subset is read from the stream
0 Slovak, Czech
1 English
2 Estonian
3 French
4 German
5 Italian
6 Lithuanian, Lettish
7 Polish
8 Spanish, Portuguese
9 Romanian
10 Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian
11 Finnish, Hungarian, Swedish
12 Turkish

Dream Explorer can be used to change the configuration with the remote, FileZilla or DCC make it possible to change the configuration over the network. The new configuration is applied after channel change.

Thanks also to our user Taapat for the GUI !!!
err23 put it also into his Dropbox under experim3_img_est_lav_lit
I'll do a post- I tested it out myself as well and all OK.
However, I understand that this is to be further developed so that choose the letters according to the language. Thus enabling the automatic mode also working. Let's see if it manages to perform and our user eesatfan dealing with it. I hope to success of his work.

In this version, the symbols can be selected directly from the menu System->Subtitle settings->Set teletext subtitle language. The amendment applies after the channel handover to the next selected channel.
I add here a few screenshots as well.

System->Subtitle settings->Set teletext subtitle language.

Why duplicating? There is automating language selection already. You can set preferred subtitle language there

Already in the original is not the correct term, because they're not electing the languages in the table but instead of letters or symbols.
Probably we need to improve English-language explanation!

Maybe instead 'Set teletext subtitle language' 'Set teletext subtitle characters' is more accurate.
