hi

i am wanting to add a smargo cardreader to my 800se with PLi4.0 image

can anyone give me any pointers at what i need to do as to get running, drivers needed etc etc

install the 'usb serial' package, from the 'drivers' section of the plugin list.

I've installed the drivers but Ccam214 is not reading my card in smargo mate?? :-(
What else Do I need to do plz to get the smargo & card working together??
Anyone with any advise be greatly appreciated

Which card are you trying to read ?

CCcam does not read everything.

F.I. Spanish Nagra/Tiger (Terrestrial DVB-T Gol TV) and Spanish CANAL Plus Nagra3 can't be read.

I am wanting to add a FTV sly uk card for now!!
But the smargo does not see the card??
Does anyone have the necessary to setup & the add the smargo all up & ready for Dm800se?

been having another try.. & i get this message below in Cccams web info ?

card reader /dev/ttyUSB0
no or unknown card inserted

 

do i need Smartreaderplus tools/drivers to setup the smargo 1st?? as ive looked for these all over & all i find is dead-links ???

iv managed this?

just trying it for now with a free s*y UK card.
 

Firstly, we need to check the smargo firmware version, so run the SmartreaderUpdate.exe

If the firmware is v1.3 it will say so in the status bar at the bottom of the window and you can close this util, if not, click the update button and it will apply the update.

 

 i then did this

 

Now we need to put the smargo in the correct mode to run directly in the Dreambox. So run the Smartreader.exe and change the kernel settings to Dreambox and click Apply.

 

but im still still getting this message in Cccam info   

no or unknown card inserted

 

 

can anyone help please?

I didn't think Cam was a card reader

Thought it was Oscam
