I decided to Upgrade my DM800se today. from pli 2.1 to the New 4.0

After flash everything worked fine but when first boot its stuck in the boot phase (boot Picture) and will not come on line. The progress bar in the DM display just starts over and over again from the half point.

 

I have tried several different Version of the latest nightly builds but they are all the same.

No problem flashing and booting on other images (non Pli) or the old 2.1.

 

Tried to search in the forum for a solution but can't seem to find one.

 

Anybody who can give some guidance is much appreciated

I am having the exact same problem right now. I tried with all the 4.0 releases that I found on the download site, but all would crash my DM800se.
Finaly gave up and installed the only 2.0 release that I found, but the problem with that one was that it would not connect to the plugin feed. Finally gave up and installed a totally different image. I hate to give up, but I wasted most of this saturday on this problem. Is this a result of the fact that OpenPli is no longer activley supporting DM anymore?

Which images did you turn too in the end? any link?

Some of the once I tried was wrong for my Sim and I needed to go through the slow dreamup process...

Turned out the problem was with the language I selected. I used Norwegian Bokmål. It will work fine if you use a different language. I used Norwegian on my install.

That did it!!

 

Now it's working fine but scanning Sat 4.8E shows no channels.... Doh!
