I have just flashed OpenPLI 4.0 but im unable to login to FTP.
I have changed the password via telnet but stil cant login via FTP. Any ideas on how to fix?
I changed the password by typing in "passwd" and then entering a new password.

No. By default, there is no password. But the OP says he changed it.
In general, if you can login with telnet, you can also login with FTP, unless there's a firewall in the way, or if the vsftp daemon isn't running.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

login with telnet, and then give the command:
netstat -lnp
You should see this:
root@vuduo2:~# netstat -lnp Active Internet connections (only servers) Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:21 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 480/inetd tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:23 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 480/inetd
(amongst other things, there is more running then only ftp...)
