Hello,

 

I have a DM500, and I thought I have to test different images to find the one that fits my needs. I've been using the Pli for a couple of days now, and it's by far the best. I have only one small problem: the infobar doesn't fit well on the screen. I know this is a skin issue, but in other images, like the Gemini, there was an option, in the settings, to fix this.

 

Now, my questions are: is there an option in Pli to fix this? If no, how can I fix this manually? which file and which line I have to modify?

Yes, I have an Enigma1 box. so I think I have to modify the skin file (***.esml).

Anyway, I'm using the skin xline and this is the esml file

The E1 skins were designed for old CRT TV's, with massive overscan. How come you still have a problem? You're on NTSC?

I'm using CRT TV with this box. I can see the info-bar, but it's not in the middle of the screen. With Gemini image, there was an option to fix this. What I want is to push the info-bar a little bite to the right.

It's not a major issue, because I still can see all the information in the infobar -- but if I can fix it, it will be better.

The info bar is never in the middle of the screen, it's always at the bottom. The idea is that you still see as much as possible of the TV image when you pop the infobar up.

 

I assume the Gemini option was there to deal with PAL vs NTSC, as the last has less vertical lines, so there was a need to move it up a bit. You 'mis-used' that feature to move it a lot more then a little up. PLi images never needed that feature, in our skins the infobar was also visible in NTSC, we made sure of that.

It's been years since I've seen or used an E1 image.

 

Looking at the esml file, I think line 448 (  <eWidget position="c-310:e-175" size="620:147"> ) determines the global positioning of the widget. So play a bit with the position, and check what the results are. I think you have to increase '310' to move it up.

Thanks WanWizard   It's working fine now. I changed "310" to "300".

 

I hope I'm not making a pest of myself, but I still have one last question. If I want to change a skin that is located  in the read-only part "Share/Tuxbox/Enigma/Skins", how can I do that?
