@theparasol: Please check my previous posts. I wouldn't fight for that just because it is in box specification (the output is as I want it, just that flicker problem).

@Erik:

It should work without autoresolution, as I want a single 1080p50 on output. I tired autoresultion only as suggested by dirocca. And I've modified the plugin to support 1080p50. But it did not helped with a flicker problem.

And recordings are from my HDC-TM700 camcorder :)

If you ask me his television has some kind of picture processing to enhence the picture. Better disable it and try again!

As no provider is broadcasting in 1080p, there cant be any better picturequality in 1080p unless the television is processing the picture and enhence it before show it on the screen.

Perhaps the 1080P signal isnt postprocessed by the television and 1080i is...

You still didn't read.

I have a videocamera, just like macnuts does, that can record in REAL 1080p50, so yes, it does exist. I choose not record in 1080p50 because it takes too much bandwidth and my dm8000 can't play it.

@Theparasol, it does not make sense, about that post processing. What TV has to do when problems are for a specific stb actions only? Should it be a steady signal output when I have a fixed A/V setting? And it is the same even when I set 'dot-by-dot' in my tv, which means: no processing at all?

I dont care about those "special" recordings. I'm refering to dvb broadcasts for which he claims shows better picture quality in 1080p, that cant be unless the television is doing bad magic.

Well macnuts "does" "care" about those "special" recordings.

Are you sure duo2 does not do any processing at all, when set to 1080p?

Nobody knows... It's all in the closed drivers and the hardware...

@dirocca:

Thank you for your settings. I tired them but the output is 1080i, not 1080p then. I have no problem with 1080i without autoresultion, with A/V settings only. Thanks anyway.

I tried your plugin but I got this at enigma restart:

[AutoRes] determineContent
[AutoRes] switch deinterlacer mode to auto
[AutoRes] new content is 1920x1080i25 mode is hd_i
[AutoRes] determined videomode 1080i50

I have duo2 so I replaced plugin.py manually.

Hi,

what did you configure for HD interlace mode? I concentrated on progressive modes.

@dirocca:

Thank you. I've already tested these settings but they do not solve my problem described in post #1.

Yes, "flickering" exists, no matter if it is 1080p50 or 1080p60.
