Hi

I noticed that with the last build the subtitles font has been changed and I liked last one better so is there any chance that I can get old font back.

I know it is not a issue with the image but I prefer the old font better since the one looks to bolded.

Thanks

Is there a way to change the font type?
Maybe in font directory?

Yep...

/usr/share/enigma2/subtitles.xml... copy the content in skin_user.xml and change it...

But what is wrong at the current font... (unless I have in my to do list to change the J and I)

I have the feeling in a far past you customized that subtitle.xml file and after i added Italic etc... you get the default back during an upgrade...

I need a bigger sized font.
The maximum value for the size, with this type of font, is too small for me.

That's my concern right now.

If you could increase it to 64 or 66 that would be great!
Thanks

I would recommend to refresh your box first....

it is because is used centering for DVB subtitles which are generated as left aligned subtitles and provider has wrong generated first and second rows into first and second region - second row is generated partialy into first row. Because you using "black transparency" to No (it seems) and subtitle are centered, then this rest of second row is moved with first region. In your case it seems, is not cleared second region, when is broadcasted only first row.

Set black transparency to Full or do not center DVB subtitles.

Better is use yellow with full transparency. Subtitles are better visible and must not be used black outline.

There in PLi E2 is partilaly this rests removed, but when it is not almighty. May be, broadcasted subtitles are biger than usualy.

I think, somewhere I have modification, when user can choose line, where is cleared... I will see if this could help... which service ?

No, if outlines are adding by provider, then it is not problem in PLi. I found, that I have this as patch on one of my box ( tried modify it, when was problem with centered subtitles - there was removed whole line, but I did not public it ... ) See on pictures. I am using own finetuning called from Subtitle Quickmenu...( there you can set, if will be this outlines cleared or no and if yes, start line of 2nd region and how much lines. For better orientation I set green color.). There you can see, that some outline goes into 2nd region.

Edit: on 2nd picture you can see "j" and "g". Green is in 2nd region.

The subs in janejak's screenshot are actually Teletext subs. You can see the service reference in the screenshot file name, and this is from "Discovery (N)" on 0.8W. That service only has one subtitle track (Norwegian Teletext).

I don't have that problem on the same service. Looks fine here. My enigma is from 2014-11-13 (didn't reflash after the C library update yet so I'm not quite up to date).

No, this are DVB subs.  On txt cannot exist this problem.  It depends on broadcasted event, how it was produced.
