Hi everyone

I'm trying to find the way to map on my DM800 se my nework drive where i host all my movies.

Both DM and Network Drive are of course on same IP mark (192.168.x.x)

The network drive is password protected (user and psw that i can set according to my wish).

I been trying to install the SMB extention from feed.. but it cause a green screen with boot loop... ( i had to flash the latest 05/02 image to make it work again).

Can anybody gave me some tips?

Is there a easy plug in to access my drive?

About the drive is a 4TB EXT4 formatted.

I hope you can help me.

Regards

What is a "network drive"? A NAS system? A remote PC or server?

All software required to make a mount (a mapping) from the box to a server is already present, there is no need to install anything.

You can use the mount manager and/or the network browser (you'll find them under menu - setup - network) to make a connection to a drive in a remote server or NAS.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Yes.. i wasn't enought clear.. sorry...

it's a NAS

i followed the mount process but had a lot of trouble to access the resource even after mounted the network folder..

I gave IP username and psw

but once mapped and mounted the relative path beside it's green Flagged as Active it carry a RED cross...

and i can't see the files inside the mounted location.

Any idea?

No, sorry, I never used them to make a mount. Perhaps someone else?

The easiest way is to go into network parameters and select: network browser it will show you the list of discovered device and then you can easily mount the shares from there.
