Hello Willy,

sorry for the delay. I made a clean import today but we still have problems with events descriptions. I will make a video to show you what doesn't work

 

What channel ?

Because of the continuing problems with the descriptions, I have changed the grab for the Sky Cinema channels, Sky Uno and Fox, Fox Crime and Fox Life.

Hopefully things are improving.

For the Sky Cinemas Channel, after the name event, there is the genre and the year. 

I think that now is excellent. 

 

I prefer the official EPG visible on Skybox but if this is impossible, i think that is better read an event description unofficial than "N/A".

maybe i did find a solution for all italian channels but i don't know if we can use it.

here you can download a simple software that downloads epg for italian channels and creates a tvguide.xml file. I've already checked all the descriptions and everythings is like on official skytv guide.

 

Here is a step by step guide on how to use it:

 

1. Download the zip file and unpack it.

 

2. Click on configurazione.bat and enter login details ( i sent you a pm with login details )

 

3. remove flag on "Sottotitoli" and then click on >> to select all the bouquets

 

4. Click on Salva

 

5. Run EPGDownloader.exe and wait untill it finishes, you should find a tvguide.xml file in the software folder.

anyway i made a clean import of italian epg but i'm sorry to say it's useless atm becouse there are no infos about events but only a generic description

I have changed the grab for the Sky Cinema channels, Sky Uno and Fox, Fox Crime and Fox Life.

 

(different grabber and different website - but I am running out of options)

 

Hopefully things are improving.  The new file is uploaded to the download sites.

The grabber you provided, could be used to a certain extend.  Not all the tags are usefull.  And the channel names are different, which will require a major effort to get them imported correctly.

 

However.  I compared the descriptions from this grabber, with the information which is in our XMLTV now (this morning 10h00 update)

And they compare reasonably well.

 

I could switch over some more channels.  But not all are available on this website.

Pls. pay attention to the description.  Are these OK?

PS:  That movie does not tell me anything.  I cannot read anything on it.

Please focus on one or a few errors.  And give these in detail.  Name channel, time of broadcast. Exact error.  Name of the show.

And preferable an error in the future.  (An error which I still can grab - so if it is from yesterday I cannot grab anymore)

A couple of new channel IDs here for Italia channels on 13E.  These are both SD rather than HD.  I think they appeared after the broadcaster stood down their Olympics coverage channels:

 

SKYSport3.it - 1:0:1:2DC0:1A2C:FBFF:820000:0:0:0:
SkySportF1.it - 1:0:1:2D5A:2260:FBFF:820000:0:0:0:

 

I've checked that these are not in the current Rytec.channels.xml

Yes Willy, but Fox animation is Fox+2 now. Horror Channel still exists

 

Please check again my video. You'll see there are a lot of "I" those are events with missing title. 

 

The file with description you posted seems to be ok but can you please chow me the one with skyuno and fox channels?

For example atm and till today at 23.00 i have no epg datas for

skyuno and all fox channels ( fox crime, fox, foxlife...)

 

Tomorrow at 11.35am on foxlife there is no event title. It should display "In cucina con Giallozafferano"
