Hi

Im using latest image on DM7020HD but I can only get the numerals to work on the remote control - so in the channel list, I cannot scroll using letters.

Ive been through all the menus cannot see any settings to change

Anyone know how to fix this?

Many thanks

When you are on the channel list - say at the point of channels starting with letter A.  If you want to go to channel starting with M, I have to wade through hundred of channels to get there, whereas previously, I could just press M on the remote to get there...

Oh, is that possible?

I never knew of such possibility?

Possibly it should be considered that beside button number presses you can go to the next number with ch up/down somehow... En improve the presses on the numbers so it does toggle arround and not rely as far I see on a timeout.

Is that related to not being able to press 6 twice to go to the first channel starting with "M"?

It uses SMS-style typing, the first press going to 6, second to M, third to N, fourth to O...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I just committed something extreme easy that should improve the behavior here... it was also anoying to me for a long time...

Due to the timeout it easily falls back to the first character behind a key.... especially it does anoy on the slower set top boxes....

Wanwizard - yes that is correct.  I note on my other boxes, there is an option In setup to allow "text input" but it is missing in openpli image

I've just checked on my ET9000. This indeed works and makes it possible to quickly go through "All channels" to the place I want.

I only wish something similar was possible in "packet management" - it is a pain in the arse to find something you want.
