frome few days my dm800 SE crash a lot, it's fresh flashed and no icon pack or skin

U have IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device: '/etc/enigma2/timers.xml.writing'

 

("No space left on device") error will be triggered in any situation in which the data or the metadata associated with an I/O operation can't be written down anywhere because of lack of space. This doesn't always mean disk space – it could mean physical disk space, logical space (e.g. maximum file length), space in a certain data structure or address space

first remove som plugins u dont need maby it fix it

I had to reflash it again

The only one plugin wich is installed is epgimport, could it be this one that cause my issu ? I use it from weeks and it never do that.

today It's still the same, fresh flashed, only this plugin, and green screen when do an update or ask to reboot, in plugin menu i cannot remove plugins, it says :" no new plugins found"...

same in softwre management :  blank list

At me is in updating attempt just the same situation.

open box via Telnet (or putty) and use:

 

df

 

you will see, how much free space is in /dev/root

 

then you can try remove with opkg or manualy some plugins ( /usr/lib/enigma/plugins/Extensions ... )

 

May be, you are storing from plugin data into i'ts directory ???

 

There in dm800se is not so much free space ( due adding wifi sticks into image) ...

It was always updated without problems. I didn't establish any new plugins.

96% free is still useable but can begins problems after update/upgrade (i do not know accurate limit, but I think, it begining on 96-98%...

I solving it in own build with removed Machine features ( modem wlan kernelwifi externalwifi dvb-c blindscan-dvbc ) from image for my dm800se. Then I have 92% free with all wanted plugins. Especialy - adding wlan kernelwifi externalwifi was not happy step for dmm800se/500.

OpenPLi no longer supports Dreamboxes, so I do not think you should expect any updates at all.

 

If you want to change some features in the dreambox image, you will have to set up a

build environment and build the image yourself.

Doing so you can specify which kernel modules and features to compile and/or include

in the image (OpenPLi image based on a linux kernel).

Because with dm800se/dm500hd was never distributed any wifi sticks, then is is little nonsence, imho. When somebody want using usb wifi stick, then he can install module manualy and must not be bigger image for all users....
