Whatever... Maybe someone wants to run apache at port 80. It's their choice. My message was that workaround in OpenWebIf can be removed now.

BTW: How will your streamproxy behave if it doesn't find a http port setting by OpenWebif?

While it normally means OpenWebif is using the default of port 80, it can also mean it isn't there at all.

Why don't you try the VU+ App.

The streamingserver (internal enigma, port 8001) now also honours the OpenWebif.auth_for_streaming setting. Tomorrow in the feed.

Same remark as earlier today. If you're not specific, little chance of things being fixed.

My specifics are: DUO2 flashed with todays PLi; transcoded and normal streaming works fine to my Android 4.2.2 phone (VU Player).

You make this http://openpli.org/f...ndpost&p=421054 ?

Both streams work with authorization?

VU+Player not work with authorization on stream, just work with authorization on web interface

so you try wrong work!

Yes indeed, the VU+ App does work, but without authentication.

So not "everyting is broken", but just the authentication (of the current VU+ App) is broken.

Also there has been a change on the streaming (port 8001) yesterday that might help. Authentication for transcoding (port 8002) has been okay for some time.

If you're using vlc and vlc gives problems (which I've had another report about), then apparently there is something wrong with vlc. Other players just work.

IMHO the Android VU-Player works best with the embedded (original Android) player, not with VLC.

Yea,  I used various players including VLC (android beta) but now that the android Vuplus Player works so nicely, I prefer the inbuilt player with the extra features (for changing service, video quality etc.)

You might want to make the check for "config.OpenWebif.auth_for_streaming" also check "config.plugins.Webinterface.streamauth" (using logical or).
Users of genuine GPL violator boxes (aka "Dreambox") still might want to use the old Webinterface.
You would also have to fall back to port 80 or port = config.plugins.Webinterface.http.port if config.plugins.Webinterface.http.enabled and there is no OpenWebif port found.

Even if you don't, you will have to check config.OpenWebif.enabled too anyways, as the port setting or the assumption "use port 80 if there isn't any" would still apply even if OpenWebif is disabled.

This all will however always remain nothing but a dirty workaround to the real bug.

Yes indeed, the VU+ App does work, but without authentication.

Somting broken in transcoded stream/ With stream without transcoding - no problen on all players, but with transcoding not play

8001 without auth - work on PC and Android

8001 with auth - work on PC and Android

8002 with auth (transcoded) - work on PC, if open 2st time

8002 with auth (transcoded) not work with all players Android

On last image BH transcoding work well (im not change settings)

VU+ Player not work with auth streams!!!!

You transcoding stream ask authorization? Like http://openpli.org/f...ndpost&p=419238 - there????

If you click on icon stream 8001 or 8002 VLC ask login and pass?

You might want to make the check for "config.OpenWebif.auth_for_streaming" also check "config.plugins.Webinterface.streamauth" (using logical or).

Those users can, for transcoding, use the streamproxy config file and enter port/auth there.
