DMM E2 stores dummy Caid C:0000 on service scan, this is stored if a service is flaged as encrypted in SDT. The correct Caids are stored after zapping on a service.
And you are right dreamboxEDIT is handling this properly since DMM added this 2 years ago on my request.

So this is the very first time that DM was ahead of PLi then :)
A pity they are not sharing ....

I thinking I see a cardlike symbol when Inzap to a channel. I use PliHD skin, so maybe there is Some hint?
It is the 4th symbol from the right when it is encrypted.

Yeah, good, I'm happy if that will be fixed at last, but the commit I pointed you to is 4 months old.

The icons will upgraded while you're zapping....

Possibly during scanning something needs still be adjusted (plus some finetuning...)

It is so sad to constantly see peoples ego's getting in the way of the true open source spirit.

It's all very fine to fork OpenPLi, but sending improvements back upstream, it just never happens. With the result that every team has to invent the same wheel, and lots of quality dev time is waisted.

We could have been so much further....

We could have been so much further....

I absolutely agree with that. And you know the reasons for it (not what you mentioned).

I'm not going deeper into this off-topic debate, and IMHO all has been said about it in the past.

BTW: The same applies to PLi: how long ago did PLi upload their last improvement to DM?

No, I don't.

I see several people here working very hard on fixing things, and adding new functionality. They get all the support we can give, and the results are happily merged into the image. Obviously we have to ensure the quality of the product, so we're critical as to the quality of the code produced, but that shouldn't stop anyone. If only because producing better quality code is good for you as a dev too.

DM has a closed source image, which violates the GPL license. The GPL license states in short "once GPL, always GPL". So we can't offer anymore, and they can't accept anymore. That doesn't stop them for "borrowing" though...

@littlesat - i think, "User Interface" menu is more and more confusing.

Could be jewelery about channellist moved into standalone menu or standalone submenu, or at least group it ?

( on picture are this items with red point, may be, yellow too )
