Did you read #121? No you did not...  -_-

Yes I read that. You said...

You can edit it manually in the extra parameters

But I can't find anything in DBEdit labelled "Extra Parameters", hence the question.

Hi,

Is something broken with this new feature? I just update my box and while zapping the encrypted flag dissapeared.

Indeed there is a strange behavior when switching to the encoded service.
Icon disappears.

The behaviour is very inconstant: varying results as sometimes the flag shows up and sometimes it disappears. Both can happen on the same service.

Possibly you get new fresh settings during the upgrade. This will put the ecm cash as it is within the settings... So indeed all correct flags could fo wrong...
In fact you should complaint to you settings creator...

From the beginning I explained there might be side effects...

I use my own settings, so I'm the settings creator.

I do a scan of 19.2 & 23.5: flags for e.g. Ned 1/2/3 SD & HD are correct.
I tune to Ned1 then to Ned2 and the flag on Ned1 disappears. And so on. And sometimes it's back again.

@littlesat,

this as nothing to do with settings creator, I just zap to have the crypted icons, upgrade the box, then perform a full scan of the satellite and I experience the same behavior has SatKierked crypto icons behavior is totally random.

Can you please briefly described how you set it in the lamedb, do you use the C: flag to cache the CAID in the lamedb?

I think indeed that since that commit this has been introduced. Not 100% sure though, as the testtime before the commit was short.
What that commit does do neatly, is delete the flag from un-encrypted services. But aparently and unfortunately from encrypted services as well, at it's own will.

I can't see any consistency in the disappearing of a correctly set flag. Sometimes it does disappear, sometimes it doesn't. And I', talking about services that are always encrypted: for testing this I only go up and down NED 1,2,3 on 19.2 & 23.5.

So for this moment this is a feature that doesn't work... Caused by providers who do not send this data correctly...
So it can be consider to completely remove it???
I can give it one other try... This by only removing the fake caid 0000.... Once something real is cashed the I do not remove the flag within the last commit.

No, don't remove it. It is a very handy feature. It's just not perfect. If it can be improved great, but not removed.

Once something real is cashed the I do not remove the flag within the last commit.

Sounds sensible.
