Hello I have this usb dvb-t tuner but et4000 with openpli won't recognize it; I installed these drivers from plugin manager: it913x, af9035 and af9015 but without success.

Reading on internet I found that a patch at kernel level could be necessary: https://patchwork.ke.../patch/1905731/

Could it be usueful to solve the problem or it is just included in latest openpli for et4000??

I have a similar problem like yours.

I have a Et8000, and I'm trying to install a AverTV Volar HD PRO usb device.

Reading lsusb, I see that my device is 07ca:1835.

I've installed:

and reading dmesg I see the box doesn't still recognize it.

Am I forgettng something ?

 

 

I remember I installed one device like that (it was 07ca:a835) on my et9000, and I had no problems.

My Device ID is 07ca:3835...

I've added drivers for AF9015  and IT813x, and now it is detected. But after rebooting it isn't still shown on tuners section.

It should be seen as TUNER D, but it doesn' appear.

 

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong ??

How do you install kernel-module-dvb-usb-it913x-3.13.6-r0.0?? My Et4000 openpli has the latest kernel 3.8.7... Do you install on a different decoder??

What is the latest kernel for et4000? I think that kernel newer than 3.12 will support the Avermedia A835B...

The latest kernel for et4000 seem 3.8.7... Anyone can tell me how to apply the patch in the first post to this kernel? Can this patch be included in the openpli sourcecode for et 4000?

Why don't you show us a dmesg ?

 

This patch sure it's included, it's from 2 years ago. My device is recognised, so youyrs shoudl be too.

At this point I think the only solution is the upgrade of the kernel to 3.13 for et4000... Is this upgrage in program or et4000 will not be upgraded anymore???

I have et9000 and 07ca:1835.

I have installed all packages as jpuigs in #6 and desertstorm in #14 wrote, but the tuner was not recognized.

 

The OpenPLI image from 2014-05-19 has still the kernel 3.8.7.

 

Can please anyone help me?

you need to setup build environment in order to build your modified image or you need to wait until patch commited
