Hi, I have installed OpenPli 4 on my Vu+ Duo2 and now I want to install pcsc to use an USB SmartCard reader, is it possible to install pcsc on openpli ? If yes, What packages should I install ?

I've tried following this guide :  http://linuxsat-supp...ead.php?t=26285 , but when i try to install the second package I get an error saying that libobject 2 is missing ...

How can I install pcsc on OpenPli 4 and use the smartcard reader with OScam ?

Thanks.

That toppic is very old.

Install the here posted ipk files to have pcsc support. For the correct binary go to oscam website. (streamboard)

Install in following order !!

First libusb-1.0...ipk

next pcsc-lite_....ipk

then ccid....ipk

and I just ad ass well the correct oscam binary for use with this above mentionned pcac version. Will only work if the above library's are installed.

and you're pli4 is full updated

Depends: libpcsclite1 (>= 1.7.2), ccid, pcsc-lite, openssl, libcrypto1.0.0 (>= 1.0.1e), libusb-1.0-0 (>= 1.0.9), libc6 (>= 2.19), libssl1.0.0 (>= 1.0.1e)

ok but that was not all.

First and respect the order !!

Install linusb-1.0.....ipk

then the pcsc-lite (yes I adapt a small think about depends)

then the ccid

then the oscam binary(it's adapted about depends)

use the pcsc-lite from here and the oscamcvr....ipk from here

NOTE .... oscam itself is not fulle installed by that it's only the pcsc binary. It's up to You to adapt configs and start scripts. Read streamboard and or other info for that

Ok,

now I've installed everything but I got this error from oscam when I try to read the card :

2014/04/16 20:53:50 605DC8 r aaa [pcsc] PCSC failed establish context (8010001d)
2014/04/16 20:53:50 605DC8 r aaa [pcsc] Cannot open device: 1

How can I list the device connected ?

I've tried with :

opensc-tool -l

but the tool is not present ...

Thanks.

@aleroot

that cause You's pcscd deamon is not started

Then You have message

2014/04/16 20:53:50 605DC8 r aaa [pcsc] PCSC failed establish context (8010001d)
2014/04/16 20:53:50 605DC8 r aaa [pcsc] Cannot open device: 1

Also when You have a single reader it must be device = 0 (not 1)

But why is the pcscd deamon not started ?

That's a real challenge with the pcsc-lite as there have been changes in function off libpcsclib1 . and deamon.

The used ccid may not contain you're specific hardware used yet if it is a pretty recent reader.

Depending on the library , the very old do not start the pcscd deamon out of library. But needed to be started with an deamon start/stop script

Then A couple off vesions did started the pcscd deamon automatically from out the library like it is on pcsc-lite-1.7.2

Then as from version I gues it was 1.7.8 it did not started automatically anymore again. and deamon start/stop script or something else which is not used on E2 stb is needed.

I'm now just tested the very last pcsc-lite-1.8.11 with his attached lib and ccid 1.4.16.

The last update was 02/2014

it does run fine It on the E2 stb does require an pcscd.init deamon again.

I'm now bussy in asembling a correct ipk will all latest stuff added.

I well suggest to you that since you fiddled to much around espacially at first with the to old explanation on linuxsat..... website based on the archaïc libusb 0.1 aai aai , reflash you're box freshly with the latest pli4

(whatch out with autobackup as wrong setings may come with the restore). Try to backup channels only . and restore them. Set settings and plugins again from scratch.

Later today I will come up with the recent pcsc-lite

I suggest, before to start oscam, start pcsc daemon

cd /usr/sbin
pcscd -d -f

I've been compiled by myself the last pcsc and ccid driver (1.8.11 and 1.4.16) and working well with an omnikey 3121.

I suggest, before to start oscam, start pcsc daemon

cd /usr/sbin
pcscd -d -f

I've been compiled by myself the last pcsc and ccid driver (1.8.11 and 1.4.16) and working well with an omnikey 3121.

That's a option.

I eighter would use the pcsc-init deamon tool. But indeed not start this at boot time like in the old days , but with the used oscam start script

the pcscd.init

#!/bin/sh
DAEMON=/usr/sbin/pcscd
NAME=pcscd
DESC="PCSC Daemon"
PIDFILE=/var/run/pcscd/pcscd.pid
ARGS=""

test -f $DAEMON || exit 0

case "$1" in
    start)
        echo -n "Starting $DESC: $NAME"
        start-stop-daemon --start --quiet --pidfile $PIDFILE --exec $DAEMON -- $ARGS
        echo "."
        ;;
    stop)
        echo -n "Stopping $DESC: $NAME"
        start-stop-daemon --stop --quiet --pidfile $PIDFILE --exec $DAEMON
        echo "."
        ;;
    restart)
        $0 stop
        sleep 1
        $0 start
        ;;
    *)
        echo "Usage: $0 {start|stop|restart}"
        exit 1
        ;;
esac

exit 0

I did not add the rc.d start stop links  so that it runs at boot time but I whell placed this start/stop in /etc/init.d

Then My oscam start script (does work perfect with pli4 softcam manager )

#!/bin/sh

case "$1" in
start)
	/etc/init.d/pcscd.init start
	sleep 2
	ulimit -s 1024
	exec start-stop-daemon -S -x /usr/bin/oscamcvr-pcsc -- -b -r 2 -c /etc/tuxbox/config/oscamcvr-pcsc
	;;
stop)
	/etc/init.d/pcscd.init stop
	rm -rf /tmp/.oscam /media/cf/oscam/*
#	sync; echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches (is commented but very usseful if you hit an oscam version with memleak bugs)
	sleep 2
	exec start-stop-daemon -K -R 2 -x /usr/bin/oscamcvr-pcsc
	;;
restart|reload)
	$0 stop
	sleep 2
	$0 start
	;;
version)
	echo "1.20"
	;;
info)
	echo "oscamcvr-pcsc"
	;;
*)
	echo "Usage: $0 start|stop|restart"
	exit 1
	;;
esac

and here the result as if it was the softcam manager which starting the cam . (p.s. the pli4 manager does not use the restart command but this work's anyway trough telnet)

#The cam was selected and already started by softcam manager
# just demo that stop start and restart is ok like that

root@vuduo2:/# /etc/init.d/softcam stop
Stopping PCSC Daemon: pcscd.
stopped /usr/bin/oscamcvr-pcsc (pid 12009 12008)
root@vuduo2:/# /etc/init.d/softcam start
Starting PCSC Daemon: pcscd.
root@vuduo2:/# /etc/init.d/softcam restart
Stopping PCSC Daemon: pcscd.
stopped /usr/bin/oscamcvr-pcsc (pid 12089 12088)
Starting PCSC Daemon: pcscd.
root@vuduo2:/#

Now I have to go. But will work later on in a good ipk which installs all correctly.

here already the libusb (only if it is not already installed on you're box)

and the combined mipsel32el ccid pcsc-lite deamons and lib

works ok on vuduo2 and dm8000 running up to date pli 4

before using this files first remove previousely installed ccid and pcsc versions  manually good typ do first a fresh flash.

Install libusb-1.0 (only if it was not installed yet)

Install mipsel32el-ccid-pcsclite.....ipk

The version off pcssc lite is 1.8.11 (the very last avbl) 02/2014 and ccid 1.4.16 also very last avbl 02/2014. The libs and deamons and startstop script included.

Read my softcams script file as example to start written above in previous message.

alternatively you can use dax way off starting the pcscd deamon.

Or if you know how you can execute the rc.d ..... command to let run the deamons as from boottime.

It is tested on vuduo2 and dm8000 runs perfect

That reader is not into the ccid driver bundle. Indeed it will unfortunately not work for You're reader.

But it is possible that another reader will be selected (since there is a windows ccid driver for that reader)

To see if its ok

First really reflash the box (with the latest pli4 vuduo2) You're log does show anything except normal issues

I have the feeling that You're box at this moment is bit a big mess concerning isnatllation.

Do not use any autobackup option. As they may (not shure) take wronly configured stuff and restore that wrongly afterwards

After You box is flashed restore the channel settings. And settings You wan't. reboot you're box.

Then install the above posted libusb-1.0_1.0.9-r1.ipk then install the mipsel32el.......ipk

Install oscam correctly but use a start script like that example I posted just correct the name and pad location like they are by you.

No any other tool or usb-0.1 ot whatever.

If it then not work's then you're reader is just not suported.

Hi,

I follow this thread and i was surprised to see that Openpli doesn't have in the feed the pcsc readers support... would be nice to include Christophecvr packages in the feed but with the proper dependencies.

Small note : since you're reader seems to be ccid compliant.

It might be possible to add you're readers vendor id ker product key and friendly name to the Info.plist If it is not in that list.

First find that info for you're reader with lsusb on a linux pc (on stb you will need the installation off usbutils which is pretty big package should be avoided the base busybox lsusb version does not give friendly name)

lsusb like for my reader :

Bus 007 Device 002: ID 076b:3021 OmniKey AG CardMan 3121

If this vendor ID 076b by my reader product id 3021 friendly name Omnikey AG ...  For my reader ok it is in the ccid bindle list.

If the result off You're reader is not in the Info.plist which You can find under map /usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents

You always can try to add it. Very very important they must be all three in at same position. relatif to the list vendorid product id friendly name.

Use a good text file editor (not a windows one !!!) gedit is perfect for that. If you use windows on pc ask windows expert what to use as wrong editor screws linux/unix/mac config files

When a ftp client handler is used such as filezilla to download and or upload this file. Always force editing with utf8 and transfer binary (not ascii ascii transfer will screw up the whole file)

If you're reader is not in the list as example the vendor id = 0ddf  product id = 9925 friendly name = digicom not supported  (find the real values for you're reader)

ad it like this always at the end off each list

    <key>ifdVendorID</key>
    <array>
        <string>0x072F</string>

--- go to end of this array

        <string>0x062D</string>
        <string>0x0DDF</string>  // vendor id of you're reader
    </array>

-- next aray product id go also to end--

        <string>0x0001</string>
        <string>0x9925</string> // product id off you're reader
    </array>

-- next aray friendly name go also to end odd array ---

        <string>THRC Smart Card Reader</string>
        <string>digicom not supported</string> // add the real fiendly name off You're reader
    </array>

safe you'remodified file  sorry but again NOT A WINDOWS EDITOR.

unplug the reader iff plugged.

reboot you're box . after boot plugin the reader there is big chance that it will work (I did this once with a very cheap reader buyed in fnac which was not in base Info.list and it worked)

Indeed it seems not compatible with ccid . I'm affraid that in that case this reader will not be usable on a stb mips.
