Hi Friends,

 

Attached is the new version v6 for plugin XBMCAddons.

 

Changes from v5 :

 

(1) All updates included

(2) Will not (hopefully) any more clash with other plugins using xbmc file names

(3) Online install of addons (converted xbmc plugins)

(4) Adult (18+) addons can be protected with parental protection PIN.

About 95 xbmc addons have been converted so far. These are now uploaded to the server for online install. Many of these have not been checked recently. So -

 

Please report any addon which is not working - or very slow.

Any xbmc plugin you are interested in - and not in the list - please ask to be included.

            PURPOSE OF THIS PLUGIN:

Any available and working xbmc plugin can be easily converted for enigma2 images for using with this plugin.

                       BUG REPORT

If you get GS - post the crashlog.

If no crashlog -

Step 1. Select Debug 'Yes' in Settings (blue button). Select Save.

Step 2. Telnet command :-

init 4 && killall -9 enigma2 && enigma2>/tmp/e.log 2>&1 &

Step 3. Start plugin again. When you have the error - copy the file /tmp/e.log - zip or rar it - and post here.

 

All posts with error report must include a crashlog or e.log.

EXTRA SOFTWARE:

 

Please install all software in Install Software (see screenshot.jpg). Always
install the latest "update" item. After installing "update" item - Restart enigma.

 

OE1.6 and images with python2.6:

 

Please install all software for OE1.6 - then reboot image.

 

ADDON SETTINGS:

 

Addon settings are in addon folder /resources/settings.xml. Many settings are not useful for enigma2. But you may change language, country etc. Put your chosen settings in default=. But for type="labelenum", put your choice as the last in the values list.

Bitte meldet jedes Addon das nicht funktioniert, oder sehr langsam ist.
Ihr könnt nach jedem XBMC Plugin, das nicht in der Liste steht und woran ihr interessiert seid fragen, ob es mit aufgenommen werden kann.

Wenn es einen GS (GreenScreen) gibt - bitte den Crashlog posten.
Wenn es keinen Crashlog gibt -
Schritt 1. Wähle Debug "Ja" in den Einstellungen (blaue Taste). Wähle Speichern.
Schritt 2. Telnet-Befehl: -

init 4 && killall -9 enigma2 && enigma2 > / tmp / e.log 2> & 1 &

Schritt 3. Starte das Plugin wieder. Wenn der Fehler auftritt - kopiere die Datei / tmp / e.log - packe die Datei (ZIP-oder RAR) - und poste sie hier.
Alle Beiträge mit Fehlerbericht müssen eine Crashlog oder e.log enthalten.

ADDON EINSTELLUNGEN :

Addon-Einstellungen sind im Addon Verzeichnis / resources / settings.xml . Viele Einstellungen sind nicht sinnvoll für enigma2. Aber du kannst die Sprache, das Land usw. ändern. Lege die gewählten Einstellungen in default = . Aber für type = " labelenum " , lege deine Wahl als letzte in der Werteliste.

Those who downloaded the plugin yesterday - may see a  "update20140420" in the Software list. Please DO NOT install it. I left it by mistake. Now deleted. Sorry !

Thanks for your report. I will look into the non-working items.

 

Software - difficult to say what is required. Try to install all for your image type (unless you have small free space). If already installed - the console will show that.

Indeed, neatly done: when you try using something, it tells you what needs installing first, so not everything is installed, thereby saving on space...

 

However, I would test a "full-on" package for you - since I use Flash Expander in PBNIGMA, having loadsa space for all sorts of toys - if you would like to make one...

P.P.S. Is download folder the same as "cashe" folder? If not, it would be good if we could choose a folder where we see fit (USB stick, partition of our choosing, for instance... Thanx!

I can't remember now exactly the wording/jargon I faced during setup, earlier this morning, so I am going to ask some questions:

 

1) Was the question during setup/setting-up procedure (before using XBMC4E2) "Where do you want your cash folder setup?" or "Where do you want your downloads to go to?"?

 

2) If it was about downloads, then my question about cashe folder is self-explanatory.... And vice versa applies, too. Are we asked just one (folder setup) or two (folders) questions?

 

3) Have you ever used/tried PBNIGMA? Well, I am using it and in PBNIGMA there is no autofs but the user has all the control over what is mounted, where, how it is partitioned, which format, where is SWAP, EPG, Picons etc. All the controls are in users hands, hence it is essential I know the difference (in terms of jargon): in Settings am I setting up the "download" folder or "cashe" folder or both?

 

4) Are they connected inextricably? In a sense, when you are setting one up, are you are setting the other as well? If so, one should be explained it in detail, during the procedure, I think, so one can make the right choices for one's setup.

Well, it's not working correctly, pcd.

 

I directed it at /media/cf/XBMC and it ended up in /media/hdd, against my clear instructions...

 

Have you got any explanation for this? Why did it happen?

I repeated the procedure, this time naming the folder 'xbmc'. Restart. Result... All cool.

In the Settings - cache folder - you need to insert only /media/cf - NOT /media/cf/xbmc !

 

The xbmc folder is made by the plugin.

 

Some addons are slow - specially when lists are long. This is because the xbmc codes use python 're' which is slow in enigma2. If things are very slow - I can change the code to python 'find' method which is faster. But it means more work for me !
