Hi all looks like Sky Atlantic has moved to the new H265 format. Like most on here I have a legit Sky account but prefer to use a VU Duo. Now i find it hard to believe that sky are able to update their HD boxes (which some are over 5 years old) and yet there is no fix/upgrade for the VU/open souce Linux boxes yet.
H265

If it's not an encryption issue but a codec issue, I would expect the stream to be correctly decoded by the box (but no indication of that), and I would expect it to play using a stream to a player that does support H.265 like VLC (but it doesn't).
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Same problem in Italy. However smart people found 'hole' to unpair card from thomson's DSI-DH310 - they sell them with 'patch' on ebay.it and advertising sites for 1000+ euros.
Here's proof that sky it hd is working:

It can't be HD pairing as my card is paired with an old Thompson box and if it was HD pairing then all my main HD channels would be switched off. Sly are sending out the stream in the new H265 codec which is for the new 4K TV. I have looked at oscam and it reading the channels ok but the box can't display them because the software only has the H264 mepeg4 installed. We need a patch that includes the new H265 codec in

OK, you know better.
By the way, what is Sly? Is it forbidden to use the word Sky or even Sky UK? Are these swearwords or something?
Hope I won't be banned for swearing on the forum.

Its paring. Its on sky it, now sky uk and will be coming to sky de.
There is no way that old sat SoC can support h265 codec.
Sky it hd was dark since few months, now there is method (non public) to get hd channels
Also some pics from another board:
still h264...

So you think all Sky boxes have the (only very recently approved) H265 codec in their SoC'S? Wow, that would be something new, nobody on the whole world has that (let alone in their installed base).
And about Sky Germany: one can wonder if the same pairing-system (cause that's what it is with Sky UK recently and Sky-IT for some time already) would work there. Given the huge amount of FTA services it would seem to be their own death penalty.
