Hi I had update in my dream box 800 se openpli4 last weeks, since I had updated my box to openpli4 image I can't connect my Pc or smartphone via Box ip 192.168.0.6
And this ip used to work fine please help me is this Openpli4 issue or something else, Can I downgrade to old openpli image or not and is it easy to do thanks

Probably that after installing Openpli4 your box is back to DHCP and its IP address has changed.

If you use fixed IP address set it back in your Openpli4.

Hi thanks Pr2 for reply But I have tried both ways DHCP fixed ip and with changed Ip to , it don't work, when I put ip 192.168.0.6 in Chrome or Any other browsers says Opps, How can I sort it out?
How can I set back in to openpli4 settings? Thanks

Can you ping your STB?

Can you connect to it with telnet and FTP?

Hi how can I ping Stb never done it before and how can I connect to telnet and FTP?
I usually someone use to pay to fix box but Guy asking me more money every time, I am really worried I want to mKe it work on phone please

Instead of randomly try to see what works, start by going into the network configuration of the box. It will tell you what the IP address is, and how it got it.

Pr2 I can connect box with Filezilla , when I put ip 192.168.0.6,username root, password Dreanbox port 8080, and it shows Bin var file but I don't know what do with it

Sorry I was thinking that you are used to manage your box but this doesn't seems to be the case. FTP was just a connectivity test.

 

If you have Openpli with default setup and don't change any port to connect to the OpenWebif it is simply:

 

http://ip_of_your_stb

 

Openwebif is listening on the standard port which is TCP 80.

 

So in your case:

 

http://192.168.0.6

 

should work and to launch a stream simply click on the TV set icon in the channel list.

I am confused. You complain you can't connect to the box anymore, and hint at the fact that your IP is no longer reachable. Now all of a sudden it is, and we've moved on to streaming?

 

Compatible with what? Why don't you start with explaining EXACTLY what you want to do, and we'll take it from there?

Hi wanwizard sorry if I confused you what I was saying ,my box used to work through ip on phone and pc fine when I put ip of the box in to dreambox remote or In Google serch 192.168.0.6 it use to recognise the dream box but from last week I had update to openpli4 and its no longer working with ip ,its not reachable any more, I don't know be because openpli4 software don't sport with ip streaming to phone or pc anymore really stressed out thanx

Well, if the IP is not reachable, as said the first thing to check is if you use the correct IP. You do that via the menu, settings, network. It will display the IP address assigned to the box.

In that menu you can also run a netwerk test, to make sure your box has a proper network connection.

 

As long as you don't know for sure the network connection of your box is ok, the rest is guesswork.

Hi box ip is 192.168.0.6 and when I fo network test its comes all four boxes ticked yes, but I don't know why I can't connect with same ip ? Really doing my headache, Openpli4 software is compatible for doing this or it doesn't matter that what Pli version is on box? Thanks

Ok. So we've established your box is good to go.

 

Next step: what do you mean with "connect"? If you go to "http://192.168.0.6" in your browser, does the web interface start? If so, you can connect, so maybe you mean something else?

Hi when I put this into web browser http://192.168.0.6 nothing happens but box is connected with this ip and when do network test on it through box settings it ticked all four boxes, please help me for this, It used to work fine last week, since I updated my box software to openPli4 I think since then its not work with web

I don't know why it wouldn't work, are you sure the web interface is installed (check via plugins)? And is it up to date, there were issues with the web interface last week.
