Axago ADE-SG  (USB3.0 -> 10/100/1000Mbit) adapter tried with notebook (i3 4010U, hasswell, Win8.1), where is 100Mbit NIC only (transfer 11MB/s max), with USB3 => transfer movie via Gbit LAN ... 70 - 100MB/s !!! 16GB movie transfered via gigabit net cca 3minutes :-)  Inserted into USB2.0 ... transfer 25MB/s

Producent write, that supported in Linux with kernel > 2.6.

I am thinking about using it in box for increasing transfer with 10/100Mbit NIC. Dit try it somebody ?

Or processor in boxes will be weak ?

Hi,

Question is: does your STBs have USB 3 support? I don't think so... most STBs are "only" USB 2...
