Hi,

I'm new to this Forum and first of all, I want to say thank you for all the work and effort given to the development and support for OpenPLI.

Unfortunately I have to report a problem now:

I have two set top boxes: et9000 and et9500, which were running fine over the last 3 years with OpenPLI. Once a month or so I usually apply the latest updates to them. I do not use a lot of plugins, the standard OpenPLI is sufficient for my needs.

But since the last update three days ago, the two boxes became completely unstable, not by using it and watching TV, but the standby mode (not the deep standby) does not work at all anymore.
The box goes into normal standby mode and after a couple of minutes the clock shown in the VFD display stops and the box is frozen.
Neither it reacts on remote control commands nor on the buttons on the device. The box is still reachable via telnet (and I can reboot the box from there) but it seems that enigma2 is frozen.

I did a complete new flash on both boxes with the built "OpenPLi-4.0-beta-et9x00-20140605_usb" and also did a reset of both boxes to the factory settings, but the problem has not disappeared.

My actual workaround is let both boxes running :-), but this shouldn't be the final solution.

My question is now, if anyone else was running into the same problems after the updates in June 2014?

Thanks in advance and best regards
Jens

i have a XP1000 and the same problem, it seams that webinterface crashes in standby or something..

In my case it started happening with skin mymetrix 1.5. with default skin doesnt seems to happen.

Then it is skin related... :( So the myMetrix skin should be fixed/adapted...

Do you have a crashlog?

SOLVED

Hi all,

and thank you very much for your replies!

Indeed the skin myMetrixHD v1.5 (which I used since years without any problem) has caused the issue. Since I switched back to the openPLI standard skin and de-installed the myMetrixHD v1.5 skin, both boxes are running absolutely stable again - in normal operation mode as well as in normal standby.

Thank you very much again and best regards
Jens
