Hi,

I have an infrastructure based on 50 Vu+Duo and used to record TV channels 24/24

Sometimes a Vu+Duo machine "freezes" and my recording is interrupted.

I need some-sort of an automatic recovery or something like a watchdog that can reboot the machine in case it detect a potential freezing.

Any idea if there is a watchdog package for Vu? or how can I prevent it from freezing.

any hint will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Rabih

Hi,

have you tried to activate swap and use cacheflush to prevent the freezes first? The problem is that the box has no hardware watchdog so if it really freezes no way out from there.

ciao

Thanks for your reply, however do you have any document or reference on how to do that?

See for example: http://openpli.org/f...m800-swap-file/

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
